Just that the new thing is Stanley tumblers - apparently replacing the cool thing being the Yeti products. I saw several kids thrilled with a new Stanley product as a Christmas gift.
Brilliant CEO tapped into social media market and went from lunchpail guys to hyped upped soccer moms. $75M to $750M a year. kudos to the people in the company, but the buyers are the worst of the worst.

DeSantis is like many politicians. He took the Governor's job not to lead Florida to the best it could be but to use as a stepping stone to the WH. Just like politicians of the uniparty.
Asshole got elected to fix FL insurance problem. Abandoned the plan minute one of his second term. FL getting screwed on insurance.

Insurance companies must run Florida like they do in Texas.
All insurance companies answer to Lloyd’s of London. They are at the top of the insurance pyramid. World wide disasters have caused all premiums to increase, and the reduction of bankrup insurance companies require the few left to keep more reserves. So we all pay the price because the companies lobby state governments to make as much money as they can.

Slava America!

Congressional leaders announced Sunday they have reached an agreement on the overall spending level for the remainder of 2024 as they seek to avoid a government shutdownlater this month.

The $1.66 trillion deal includes $886 billion for defense and $772.7 billion for non-defense spending, Democratic leaders said.

The topline is slightly above the $1.59 trillion that was reached in a bipartisan deal reached last year and includes changes to discretionary spending that was part of a side agreement between President Biden and then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. It cuts $6.1 billion in COVID-19 spending and accelerates cuts to IRS funding.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, said the agreement "will not satisfy everyone" because it doesn't "cut as much spending as many of us would like," but he touted it as the "most favorable budget agreement Republicans have achieved in over a decade."

Schumer and Jeffries said they have "made clear to Speaker Mike Johnson that Democrats will not support including poison pill policy changes in any of the twelve appropriations bills put before the Congress."

Johnson and Schumer appeared hopeful in recent days that they could reach a deal soon.

"We have been working in earnest and in good faith with the Senate and the White House virtually every day through the holiday trying to come to an agreement," Johnson said last week when asked about a potential shutdown.

Stupidly, Desantis dismissed Trump's support, and loyalty as well as his popularity, and listened to the big D.C. Uniparty donors instead.
