Imagine an 8-ball and your buddy has that runny coke nose. Yeah, fuck all that. Of course, my Miami days are long gone and I happily don't have to worry about hoarding plastic straws.
Anecdotal: I used to love the big slurpy straws from 7-11 with the spoon appendage on the end. I saw that for the first time at an Everglades DU banquet when I partied with my uncle and a couple famous Miami Dolphins. That's a wild story for another time. haha SKOL!
I always preferred the girth of a McDonald’s straw.

These are all well known facts. Especially if you've considered going electric and want to know how well it will meet your needs. More than 300 miles of EV range is an outlier - most models are in the 150-250 range for maximum range. Multiply that by 0.80 and you have your probable/practical range. That is what you get when you first drive it off the lot. Capacity will continuously diminish over time. Tesla is the gold standard and they warranty their batteries for 8 yrs/250K miles. After that you're on your own, and your only recourse is to cough up 25K when the time inevitably comes. This is not a reasonable expectation for the average consumer.

You can do the math on charging and the grid. Were you in a coma when California asked people to stop charging their EVs a few months ago?

An assumption that materials science will evolve to produce a major leap forward is a foolish one. The computing and mobile tech industry had already done tremendous amounts of work in this space. Eventually you bump up against the laws of physics. Considering how mobile tech has now pivoted to extending battery life on devices by moving toward architectures (such as ARM) that consume less power, it is likely we have reached the point of product maturity in batteries where Zipf's Law begins to take effect.

Wrt cutting reliance on the Middle East you are favoring a scenario where they can sell half the oil for three times the price. Smart.

As is typical of any Democrat initiative, they see something interesting like EV and immediately jump to pushing everyone onto it, regardless of cost or fit. We are primed for yet another fucking disaster thanks to that short sightedness.

aint gonna lie, "were you in a coma" statement got me, nice job

Found this excerpt intriguing:

“What finally undid me was when Ariana came whistle-toning in with excitement because she had spent the previous evening playing charades at Tom Hanks’s house. That was the moment I broke,” McCurdy wrote.

Its not a matter of if we run out of oil, but when. It may be a couple hundred years, but why not start the transition now? What harm is there in letting people buy a battery powered car now if they want to? Is there a downside?

Nuclear energy can be used to sustain energy needs indefinitely. You can't say the same for oil.
I don’t agree with that. I think there is a huge regenerative and maybe never ending supply of oil and gas. The “Fossil Fuel” term is a perpetuated hoax in my opinion. I’m not buying what “we’ve been told” to any degree in any area these days. Narratives to support the elite pockets.

It’s Inevitable: Trump Will Be Indicted

People who continue to believe that they will not take this further haven't paid attention to what's going on. If they already have a GJ convened in DC on these matters it's a done deal. You can indict a ham sandwich.

If charges from the indictment are pursued in the DC circuit the judge & jury will make a mockery of the judicial system and find DJT guilty of whatever they can.

Perhaps in the long run it could be over turned on appeal with future release of the obvious shenanigans going on, but that could be years in the making depending on who is running the DOJ/FBI.

Rockefeller paid a bunch of shill scientists to categorize oil as a "fossil" fuel. Giving the wrong perception that it is rare/finite and that once all the fossils turn to oil it will be all gone. And the rest is history. We are still fighting that lie today. SKOL!
I read on here or somewhere where they were saying it's produced like blood from the earth. Found that interesting... I've never believed it was from dinosaurs.

from our venerated CDC:

What sodium azide is

  • Sodium azide is a rapidly acting, potentially deadly chemical that exists as an odorless white solid.
  • When it is mixed with water or an acid, sodium azide changes rapidly to a toxic gas with a pungent (sharp) odor. It also changes into a toxic gas (hydrazoic acid) when it comes in contact with solid metals (for example, when it is poured into a drain pipe containing lead or copper).
  • The odor of the gas may not be sharp enough, however, to give people sufficient warning of the danger.

Where sodium azide is found and how it is used

  • Sodium azide is best known as the chemical found in automobile airbags. An electrical charge triggered by automobile impact causes sodium azide to explode and convert to nitrogen gas inside the airbag.
  • Sodium azide is used as a chemical preservative in hospitals and laboratories. Accidents have occurred in these settings. In one case, sodium azide was poured into a drain, where it exploded and the toxic gas was inhaled (breathed in).
  • Sodium azide is used in agriculture (farming) for pest control.
  • Sodium azide is also used in detonators and other explosives.

How you could be exposed to sodium azide

  • Following release of sodium azide into water, you could be exposed to sodium azide by drinking the contaminated water.
  • Following contamination of food with sodium azide, you could be exposed to sodium azide by eating the contaminated food.
  • Following release of sodium azide into the air, you could be exposed by breathing in the dust or the gas that is formed.
  • Sodium azide can also enter the body and cause symptoms through skin contact.
  • An explosion involving sodium azide may cause burn injury as well as expose people to the toxic gas, hydrozoic acid.

How sodium azide works

  • The seriousness of poisoning caused by sodium azide depends on the amount, route, and length of time of exposure, as well as the age and preexisting medical condition of the person exposed.
  • Breathing the gas that is formed from sodium azide causes the most harm, but ingesting (swallowing) sodium azide can be toxic as well.
  • The gas formed from sodium azide is most dangerous in enclosed places where the gas will be trapped. The toxic gas quickly disperses in open spaces, making it less harmful outdoors.
  • The gas formed from sodium azide is less dense (lighter) than air, so it will rise.
  • Sodium azide prevents the cells of the body from using oxygen. When this happens, the cells die.
  • Sodium azide is more harmful to the heart and the brain than to other organs, because the heart and the brain use a lot of oxygen.

Immediate signs and symptoms of sodium azide exposure

  • People exposed to a small amount of sodium azide by breathing it, absorbing it through their skin, or eating foods that contain it may have some or all of the following symptoms within minutes:
    • Clear drainage from the nose (gas or dust exposure)
    • Cough (gas or dust exposure)
    • Dizziness
    • Headache
    • Nausea and vomiting
    • Rapid breathing
    • Rapid heart rate
    • Red eyes (gas or dust exposure)
    • Restlessness
    • Weakness
    • Skin burns and blisters (explosion or direct skin contact)

It's not a matter of the DC circuit, Grand Jury, etc. It's a matter of what their next step is.

Indicting Trump would - under normal circumstances - be an outrage. But they clearly do not care about the old rules. Fact is, they don't care about any rules. They have a roadmap to tyranny, and keeping Trump or anyone like him out of the oval office is paramount. What next move from their side would move their takeover forward? That's what I can't figure out. Will arresting Trump, tossing him in a DC gulag bring about a complete revolt from our side? Could they handle it if it did? Do they want the country to fall into utter chaos, or do they think there's a way to get a complete takeover that isn't so messy? And if Trump supporters are willing to tolerate him being jailed, then what else are they willing to tolerate?

IMO, I think they have used Canada, Australia, NZ, etc as testing grounds for their next move against us. I had always thought that they would bring America to it's knees via civil war, starvation, cut off our energy, etc. But did the results of their covid "pandemic" convince them that they can take America without all that messiness? Americans were so pliable in staying home, accepting their piss-ant $2,000 checks, while they handed corporate America trillions, closing their churches, shopping online, etc. Even today, I heard that Apple is going to start requiring employees to actually come into the office a few days per week, they are still all mostly working from home.

Their plans have moved the entire world (to a worse place, I might add). Our plan? Vote. In spite of the fact we all know it's rigged, vote. In spite of the fact the democrats make one unpopular decision after another, have all but destroyed the economy and the dollar, and appear to have absolutely no fear of the electoral process. Vote. Oh, and wait for Durham, Labor Day!!! and so forth.

Do you have sources for these assertions?
At least with Tesla their batteries will outlast the car. Also mile range is comparable to a ice car.
Electric grid will be fine unless in over crowded states or states like Texas that screwed itself by the weird rules and not plugging into National grid.
I do agree the electric cars right now are for opulent urbanites and will add suburbanites and some wealthy rural folks. This crowd will be able to also afford solar panels.
As far as materials shortages for batteries, this will cause material sciences to evolve.
The ev tax subsidies are about useless as giving small businesses 30k tax credits for trucks over a certain weight.
Btw seems like this is another case of polarizing political views rather than looking at evs logically.
There’s advantages and disadvantages for everything and with evs I want to stop the reliance and stop the revenue of the wealthy Middle East oil countries.

I heard that the fake and the fraud paid 35K for hotdogs and pizza at the WH. I think the emails came from pizzagate. There is a legit chance the emails are real. I think the term walnut sauce came from these emails.
JMHO
That is true.

The coutnerintell team took information from the Wikileaks (across multiple Podesta emails) and then crafted a fake one that had all of those elements in it.

Their objective: get normies to spread the fake one, so they then reject the others that have the actual/real information in them.

Gotta think like the enemy.

I know most of you know this, but we haven't talked about it much ITT.

We are at our Fourth Turning.

the next 10 years will determine the future of our country, if we have one, for the next 80.

We are definitely at war, a revolution. At this point it is cold. At some point, it may not be.

Agreed. It's easy to get caught up in the prospect of there being an underlying "plan" or even Devolution because those things are exciting for our cause. Redemption will come only if we hold out a little longer while the "patriots in control" move their next chess piece - meanwhile our freedoms are being hit over the head daily with a baseball bat. Personally, I think the winning strategy is to get involved and be a citizen instead of a passenger on a sinking ship waiting for the rescue boat. Grab some tools and start fixing the leak. The steal starts at the local level and tide will turn when more and more people realize this. The people who are in office who are ruining our lives have no chance if we get involved. This should be everyones plan.

I think i saw this here but it reminds me of the paper straw wrapped in plastic. These morons are destroying the very thing they supposedly want to protect, In reality, they want to destroy the earth and it's human inhabitants. SKOL!
In Dallas many years ago they pushed to have plastic bags in stores to replace paper sacks claiming the sacks were clogging the landfills. Guess what? Termites love paper and cannot digest plastic. Termites give off methane which can be recovered to run the landfill operation or sold to the grid.

Environmentalism is mostly hysteria and not well thought out. Sort of like Wuhan Charlie.

Speaking of Wuhan Charlie, one of my suppliers has put the masks must be worn and 6-foot rule signs back on the doors of their buildings. A local Jr College has Masks Recommended on the signs at each entrances to their college.
