so i see that most people on here are against the covid-19 vaccines and i was wondering what about flu shots and all other vaccines i imagine that the opinions are mixed but im curious to hear what you guys perspective is not trying to start anything with any of you i just want to open a discussion so i can hear more viewpoints than my own thanks for your time

As an adult, I got the flu shot one year....I got the flu that year, and only one other time. Coincidence? Maybe, but if I've only gotten the flu twice in 40+ years, and one of those was the year that I got the flu shot, it makes me pretty skeptical about it's ability to keep me from getting it. I don't necessarily think it's harmful, like the covid shot, but if they're as truthful about side effects of the flu shot as they have been with covid, who knows?

Either way though, I won't get them.

I don't really remember, and they were about 20 years apart so definitely a different strain. Both sucked for a few days, but that's about it.

thank you for your answer i asked because i have had the flu with and without a shot and without it took me a week to feel better and with the shot it only lasted a day but it seems like you are definitely more likely to get it with the shot i agree with you

Flu shots are pointless unless you're elderly and/or frail. Had to take them annually when I worked for a health system and still caught the flu... now that I no longer work there I don't see any point in getting them.

I actually question if they even help old people. Can't find the study now, but the stats actually show higher death numbers for elderly people from the flu now, versus decades ago when many less people were getting the vaccine.

My 4 year old is up to date, 1 year old is behind. I'm probably going to get an exemption for the 1 year old. I can change my mind later to get them but I can't undo it. My concern, like was mentioned above, is that they've changed stuff since COVID.

Anecdotally it seems like people in my orbit are getting very aggressive forms of cancer. My own doctor that praised the vaccines and would not entertain prescribing me Ivermectin has been diagnosed with leukemia about a month ago. Doesn’t sound good for him at all. He’s early 50’s. I feel terrible for him.

I got all my kids vaccinated for the flu up until West Nile virus. They had been vaccinated & we all got so so very sick. At that point I decided that if we are gonna get sick, we are gonna get sick. The only other vaccine I have had them get is the HPV vaccine. Finding out that males & females are getting cancer from an invisible disease scared the shit out of me. Men are finding out years after oral sex that they have throat cancer & females cervical cancer. So, yes, I did get my oldest 3 vaccinated for that & I will be getting my youngest vaccinated when she's of age.
