They’re is like a 5% chance that this purchase goes through. Either way, Elon wins.

They sell, it’s his. They don’t, they’ll miss out on the biggest offer the company will ever have plus more.

If they don't sell, I assume he will try a hostile takeover. Either that or he leaves the twitter platform all together and goes to Telegram or something like that.

Stock trading back down to $47 implying that the twitter board will reject the offer. At least to me thats what it implies.

Wonder what Musk will do in the end. Will he 1) make a higher offer 2) sell his current stake 3) eventually try to make a hostile takeover or 4) Delete his twitter account and move to another platform that respects free speech

I kinda hope he goes with gab and just crashes twitter for good. Let it be a cautionary tale of what happens if you go woke at the corporate level.

This would be like a wet dream for me.

See twitter heads explode, get hit hard in the wallet and their platform dies a slow painful death.

That being said I have used Gab for a while and ....... not a huge fan. If we are honest, twitter is the better platform.

And all of this right here is why I didn't see musk making much of a difference in the Twitter stock value. Only my opinion of course.

What does Gab have to do with the value of twitter?

The options market is implying the stock will go to $37 if the deal is not approved. If it is approved it will immediately go to $54.

Thats a $17 price difference alone based on Musk.

Did you read what the gab tweets said? You obviously didn't? Gave a handful of reasons why Twitter sucks asshole.
You're hell bent on not having anyone with a different view on stocks aren't you?

I did read the Gab post. I like the guy that runs Gab a lot. Twitter sucks i agree. That is a different statement than Musk has no influence on the price of twitter though.

I mean the statement that Musk doesn't have influence on the price of TWTR is kind of idiotic if you ask me. It flies in the face of all the evidence. But if thats your stance you are more than welcome to have it.

Maybe im missing something. If i am mis-understanding your point my bad.
Yes, as in I didn't see him taking it from the 50s where it was and having it skyrocket like you said it would. Between libs vacating if he got it and a lot of people just not giving a shit about Twitter anymore I just didn't see the increase you did. You're obviously more knowledgeable than me on this.

OK, but it wasn't mid -50's and hasn't been for a while.

The stock was lingering around $37 before he announced he had taken a 9 % stake and went to $53ish after he announced.

Stock hadn't traded $50 in at least 6 months.

I might be jaded but I can very easily see them rejecting this offer. Because in their mind they have the moral high ground. And are willing to sacrifice all to signal their virtue.
I hope Twitter rejects it. It will crash and burn quickly and everyone that isn't awake will know that it's because free speech cannot be allowed to happen on Big Tech.

I agree with you 100%. But the thing is I don’t think the elites in power their care one iota about that. They think the Twitter name has longevity and is more or less a Teflon social media outlet. Cannot be touched. Into this point they are correct. They act with utter impunity.
