I watched PBD podcast yesterday and Jedidiah Bilah said that 200,000 millionaires had left NY city since 2020. Ouch.
McCarthy and McConnell will cave on the debt ceiling. They have already caved on Ukraine. McCarthy does some good things but deep down he is an establishment player. One doesn't get to be speaker or a leader without being a part of the establishment and ultimately opting for their desires.
He chickened out on Ukraine funding too.
Watching this video makes me realize how truly fucked this country is unless we take it back by force. I hope it doesn’t come to that, but it’s looking like options are running out.

It wasn’t for coming back to see my father and friends I would never return.
Why?
Let me give you a quick example.
Saturday it was raining fiercely with thunder and lightning here.
So I took an Uber home from the gym..
When I got out of the Uber, I stepped onto part of the concrete that was slippery and fell down directly on my shoulder.
I didn’t think it was broken, but wanted to make sure.
So I walked down to the hospital a half mile from my house to have it examined.
Oh, I was checked in within 10 minutes
The nurse came in, took all my vitals which were damn near perfect 50 standing heart rate 110/90 blood pressure and no fever.
Then this smoke show of a female doctor comes in examines my shoulder, has me move my arm around in different directions to check my mobility.
She didn’t think it was broken either, but wanted to get an x-ray to confirm.
They took three x-rays all negative.
The doctor then gave me a shot in each butt cheek. One injection was for the pain, and one injection was for the inflammation.
Then took me 10 minutes to check out and pay.
Total time at hospital just under an hour.
Once I got the bill, I opted to just pay cash instead of using my insurance here.
Why?
My total bill for a complete exam from the nurse then a complete exam on my injury from the beautiful doctor, then, three x-rays, then two injections.
Total bill in US dollars $50.40
By the way, check the world rankings for healthcare, Colombia is far superior to the US
Things may change in the future but for right now I absolutely am 100% convinced I’m in a better place.
And then this little Colombiana came over for the night to help me recover…

Veterans, families, and stakeholders:
Starting Monday, May 8, 2023, VA North Texas Health Care System will modify the masking requirement at all of its facilities. This update ensures the safety of Veterans while accommodating individual masking preferences and aligning with CDC guidelines.
Moving forward, masking for patients, visitors, and staff will be recommended but optional in non-patient care areas, but remain mandatory in all patient care areas where face-to-face direct patient care is present.
In addition, masking will still be required at all times for individuals with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 or other viral respiratory infections. Health care personnel are still required to wear a mask upon request of a Veteran patient, caregiver, or family member.
VA North Texas will continue to monitor any changes to CDC guidelines and update COVID-19 guidelines as necessary.

I was at the emergency room on Friday night (in Connecticut a hospital, a state university hospital) and there are still mask requirements. Well I do not wear masks and apparently the staff there was not too worried about my stance. The 4 hours I was in the building not one person, staff or otherwise said a word to me for not wearing the face covering for the ignorant. In fact, others there took theirs off when they saw me not wearing one. About half the staff were not wearing them as well. Including the nurse and doc my son saw for his x-rays.
The entire mask thing was done sans scientific evidence. Totally ridiculous.
