Probably the best response I've ever seen on Twitter.
Let’s get real. This wasn’t a movement. It was a giant, taxpayer-adjacent cry circle for washed-up hippies clinging to protest nostalgia and chronically online twenty-somethings who think “late-stage capitalism” means their oat milk cost an extra dollar.
Bernie barked. AOC posed. The crowd clapped like trained seals at a TED Talk for emotionally fragile white liberals who haven’t touched a real-world solution in their entire lives.
This wasn’t diversity. This wasn’t democracy. It was a mayonnaise explosion of guilt, confusion, and performative outrage so white, it made the snow on the Rockies look tan.
And while all of this was going down, Colorado’s actual leftist politicians ran for cover like rats off a burning electric Subaru. Even they knew this was a PR dumpster fire waiting to happen. When your own team won’t stand next to you, maybe your “revolution” needs a new script.
Bernie’s still cosplaying as the angry outsider while sitting on three homes and decades of zero legislative wins. AOC? Still tweeting like a teenager in a group chat and calling it leadership. Together, they’re the dream team of failure - all noise, no results, and somehow getting louder every time voters reject them.
The only thing they’re leading is a march of the miserable.
This wasn’t political energy. It was emotional damage on parade. A giant public therapy session with protest signs and overpriced lattes.
If this is the Left’s answer to 2024, Republicans should send flowers.
