Imagine 10 years ago celebrating a republican president appointing a Kennedy to a cabinet position. Strange days we live in.
Had to look this man up. He's a Vietnamese immigrant, legally, who went to the Naval Academy and spent 25 years in Navy Special Ops retiring as a Captain. He ran for Senate as a Republican from Virginia but lost. He's about Hegseth's age was in the military at the same time.
Hegseth fascinating on a lot of levels and gives some insight into the purpose of those filling the roles.

2. Education: Pete is a huge proponent of Classical Christian education and a harsh critic of the public school. The connection to defense here is what intrigues me.
You could certainly argue that our greatest threat is not external but internal. That starts with populace largely infected by the parasitic woke mind virus, that rejects the fundamental foundations of truth: there is a God, Jesus Christ is Lord which led to the innovation and determined mindset that is America.
Looking at Education as a core part of "Defense" is really interesting and gives insight into the scope of understanding by Trump and those around him. Huge reforms on the way.
He was on with Clay & Buck the week preceding the election - sounded pretty on top of things.
His father and one uncle (not Ted) were more like present day repubes than present day dems.
