First choice - coming back on the 18th when my current lease expires for a while - need to check-on/be with my dad - he's had to go into hospital a couple of times lately.

Last time they said he was just dehydrated. Also I can see short-term memory not what it was - not likely dementia just part of being 97.

He put me threw college at Texas along with bailing me out of some shit in my youth, supported me in any endeavor I undertook, and has never asked for a dime.

I'd feel like shit for the rest of my life if I was selfish and didn't come spend some time with him.

The goal is to stay with him as he has requested of me and spend time at my buddy's in Austin, and also at the office in Houston for a few months close to him so I can evaluate where he is and if we need to go to a senior living center.

If everything is stabilized I can do a month there and a month in MDE.

He still drives himself and voted for Trump so that's a good sign.

Thanks for the prayers - he's still good just think he's slowing down a bit. Though I say that and he just drove 4 hours to Munster, TX as about 30 of his friends had a b-day party for him.

When I get there I'll be filling him full of Liquid IVs, good healthy chow, and we're going to go on some road trips together like to where he was born in Breckenridge, TX, Mary's Cafe in Strawn, TX that has world's best Chicken-Fried Steak, etc.

Listened to Pool last night, anything close either way is a nightmare, lawsuits, screaming and lying. A blowout hopefully mitigates it somehow. If Trump does get over 300 and wins the popular, will any Dem leader have the common sense to say we got whipped, and need to do a long hard look at what we are and where we're going. They have no bench, I can't see America wanting to become California and Harris wouldn't win a primary. I have no idea if any of them would have the balls to say that.
