Walked by a large voting station in Midtown Manhattan at 7:30am. Zero people in line. Zero excitement from lib central.
I wonder how many people the Fish & Wildlife people passed by who had illegal snakes, animals, alligators, etc. in their homes only to go after the dude's squirrel.
First choice - coming back on the 18th when my current lease expires for a while - need to check-on/be with my dad - he's had to go into hospital a couple of times lately.
Last time they said he was just dehydrated. Also I can see short-term memory not what it was - not likely dementia just part of being 97.
He put me threw college at Texas along with bailing me out of some shit in my youth, supported me in any endeavor I undertook, and has never asked for a dime.
I'd feel like shit for the rest of my life if I was selfish and didn't come spend some time with him.
The goal is to stay with him as he has requested of me and spend time at my buddy's in Austin, and also at the office in Houston for a few months close to him so I can evaluate where he is and if we need to go to a senior living center.
If everything is stabilized I can do a month there and a month in MDE.
Family first.
He still drives himself and voted for Trump so that's a good sign.
