I think a lot of the founders are gone. I don’t really care what happens but it would certainly seem like an odd stance to let something you put a lot of time into die, especially needlessly. You won’t be remembered as some beacon of light for free speech but as someone who couldn’t see the forest through the trees. Maybe it’s too much trouble and not worth it to run anymore. Instead of pulling the rug on the operation allowing some to disrupt the site is the easiest way to shut it without pulling the plug yourself.
