If this has already been posted, it's worth posting again and I don't have time right now to look. Someone at the City of Orlando thought it wise to write and post this tweet regarding the annual fireworks display on the 4th. It has not been well received. Perhaps someone here can retweet it to Fox News or any other conservative news outlets.
Someone help me understand. We’re supposed to admire and respect law enforcement. But, law enforcement puts a higher value on serving their political masters than the citizens they’re supposed to be serving and protecting. I am having a difficult time with the concept.

I’ll help you. There are some that do that. However, there are many upstanding police that will never enforce or go along with it. There have already been many that quit their positions. There are still many that are police and watch from inside the beast.
My friends talk about it. And when the shit hits the fan all of them will handle up with many of us.
Lastly, like Peter, many on here that are NOT police talk about standing up but will cower and bow to their masters to save themselves. History has shown us this.
So, hammering all police? Is a socialist tactic and one used by criminals, cowards, and the most vile people in any society.

Thanks for the insight. All good points: We need some kind of community relationship building program for all communities, not just low income areas. We have County Sheriffs in our area. All great guys, but the more I see videos like the one above I wonder WTF? Again, I appreciate the input.

Ain't no holiday or nuthin here, yet there's been a shit tonne of fireworks going off all weekend, especially lastnight til about 1am.
Doubt it's random.
Maybe there's a bunch more hardcore-enthusiastic US supporters round here? or perhaps local American patriots? dunno really?

And, I agree with you. So do the police i’m friends with. Cop does something stupid? They get pissed. It’s makes them all look bad. It’s like being a Christian and hearing about the Southern Baptist Convention/Catholic Church covering up sexual abuse. Just devastating because we all get painted with the same brush.
My best friend was a policeman. Guy I took karate boxing with was a policeman and was shot/had his K9 murdered, and I’ve talked about Hank Nava and watching his family struggle because of his murder. Many other guys are hard working family men that despise the evil that comes from “leaders” or government. I can tell you that to a man everyone of them says - I will quit or I will be arrested.
Some will undoubtedly choose to “follow orders”. No different than many folks I know say - I’ll give up my guns if they outlaw them. No different than many when they start arresting pastors for preaching will fall away. Again, history shows us this.
Anyway… moving on.

Ya, agreed. I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s unnerving watching “Free” countries being shit down the drain. People’s rights are being trampled on and in some cases completely disregarded. The “just following orders” crowd concerns me the most. I want a strong relationship with law enforcement because if things keep going this way, the good folks will need each other. Covid turned the spotlight on a-lot of fvckery. I am hoping the really dark stuff will be avoided, but it doesn’t look good.

Now, round up every fvcking politician, faux Dr., hospital administrator, media member, willing participant and whoever I missed that was complicit in the evil and hang them all. Should be happening in every country.
