One man cannot have his finger on everything in the Executive branch. You have to trust that those you are encouraged to appoint will carry out your wishes. Trump was slow walked and sabotaged by everyone in the bureaucracy, DC is a cesspool. It's too damn big and full of self serving jackals.
I appreciate everything he has accomplished, he is easily the best President in my lifetime and I believe even better than Reagan. His time has now passed and I love and respect the man (might be some homo) for standing up for ME all alone within the power structure.
Trump saying "We have it all" was just a ruse to force them into doing something stupid. They didn't take the bait because they know they are protected. They used tactics that we were already accustomed to and just ramped them up a bit. (Rioting, identity politics ect) Until the media is made to heel, nothing will change.
Trump showed how to fight it but he's just one man with power, alone. When the 75 million who voted for him and agree that his policies were the correct path for our republic finally stand up together, we will have the power that should have stood behind him to force change. Our voices came too late.
These pansy ass marxist sympathizers may need to live in the misery they want to 'make them see' that our imperfect republic is the best system in the world and worth fighting for. Unfortunately, the rest us us may have to suffer right along with them before it can change.
I'm not an overly political person but my thoughts are to really get involved in local government, city council, school board, ect, it all starts there.
The Federal government wields way to much power over our lives.
Side note, all the ladies at the inauguration adorning purple today shows you their thought process, purple signifies ROYALTY.

There's a thread on tMB about the new Night Stalker doc on Netflix. I've told this story before on there but thought I'd share it with my Crootn friends.
Back in the mid 90s a friend of mine was reading an article in a magazine about Richard Ramirez. At the end of the article was Richard's San Quentin mailing address. We thought it would be funny to write him a letter basically talking shit and trying to be funny. We didn't use our real names and gave a return address of a room in a building that my friend's band rented for practice. To our surprise Richard Ramirez wrote us back and we exchanged six letters. He's obviously a fucked up dude. In the first letter we wrote to him we asked him to write us a poem. He gave us a simple three word poem in return. "Remember to dismember". I wish we had made copies of our letters to him but all we have now are his return letters. My friend sent me a few pics of the letters the other day when we were talking about the documentary. Enclosed is one of them if you'd like to read. I especially liked his farewell of "Pleasant screams, Richard".

Good stuff guys. I am into build projects as well. Been researching teardrop trailers for the past couple months. Finally bit the bullet this week and bought the frame. Hope to have it done by summer.

No offense, but this is probably one of the LEAST things that makes us look crazy. Just sayin
There are a lot of free plans online for simple projects like end tables and stuff. The biggest cost is for supplies. While no power tools are ‘necessary’, I’ve found it’s good to have at least a good miter saw, drill, and orbital sander. And I can’t stress enough how great a Kreg pocket hole jig is, as well as a dowel jig. A good set of clamps is necessary too.
Then it just comes down to materials - what type of wood you want, paint or stain, screws, dowels, etc.
Also one thing I really like for furniture is a good coat of paste wax. It adds an additional layer of protection and gives the piece a nice smooth feel (that’s what she said).
Also also, if you use soft wood like pine or fir, use a wood conditioner prior to staining. Makes the stain apply more evenly and keeps it from ‘blotching’.
