Being able to steal an election this loudly and sloppily is the most deflating thing I think I have ever witnessed. The illusion of freedom and democracy is being destroyed right before our eyes. A lot of folks in this thread have known that our country was totally corrupt, but there was also a small level of denial. I wanted my crazy conspiracies to be wrong. I’ve never wanted to be wrong this bad in my entire life.
To me though, the scarier part are the millions of my fellow citizens that are cheering it on. Cheering on censorship. Cheering on election fraud. Cheering on loss of freedom to a bullshit virus. Cheering on being forced to wear masks. I would never ever want any Libs to be censored. I disagree with pretty much everything they say, but dammit, I sure as hell believe in their right to say it. It’s like I knew we were headed to this place all along and at the same time, I never really thought we would get here.

From this day forward I will look at our federal government as an oppressive regime that limits the freedom of it’s citizens for the benefit of the “elites.” At this point it is obvious to me that this has been the case for my entire life, I just never understood it. I thought there were bad apples who took advantage of their position. In fact, there are very few people who work in the federal government for anything other than personal gain. I guess this shouldn’t be surprising. I do my job for personal gain, I just don’t leech of my fellow citizens to do it.

Ive been working on this. Jordan Peterson used the term “domain of competence.” I need to clean my room and stay within my domain of competence instead of closing the door and worrying about rooms outside of my control.
