It’s even more important to understand “vaccinated people” aren’t vaccinated. They have been given a cell therapeutic, not a vaccine. Their bodies fight off the effects of the virus but don’t kill the virus like what a vaccine does to generate antibodies. So if you are “vaccinated” you really have just become a shedding/spreading agent.Here's a good article about mucosal antibodies, which are antibodies that exist on the mucus surfaces of your upper respiratory tract (URT: nasal cavity, throat, etc). Vaccines induce antibodies in the blood stream, but not mucosal antibodies. This would be a good explanation for why vaccinated people (who don't have a prior infection) are catching covid and are able to spread to others, even if their symptoms are reduced. The infection still rages in their URT. The body's very first line of defense against viruses like covid are the mucosal antibodies. By the time antibodies in the blood stream are brought to bear against the infection, the infection has already progressed from the URT to the lower respiratory tract, where it enters the blood stream.
Natural immunity does include these mucosal antibodies. This is another way that natural immunity is a broader immunity.
