One of the (if not the) largest expenses in standing up this site were legal fees. Mainly focused around building an appropriate business structure and securing intellectual property, but I’ve also established a very good relationship with the law office. From the very beginning, I felt like it was critical to make those legal connections so that when someone comes after us we are prepared.
I get the claims that the legal system is broken, but attempting to build something like this up blatantly illegal would have the legs cut right out from under it
You are right about money being a part of the equation. But money to grow influence and build technology.
Technology is a key piece to the puzzle IMO. And technical skill is one of the key things that we have going for us here.

I do not believe voting is a solution, because no matter who gets voted in, the contractors that run the government aren’t going anywhere. Sure, the might “clean house” by moving people out of certain leadership positions, but none of the people that actually move dirt are going anywhere. The system is broken IMO.
But all of this doesn’t mean that part of the solution wouldn’t involve leveraging influence to effect politics. In fact, that would be a strong resource that is a legal way of doing things.

Fighting legal battles has nothing to do with solving the problem. It is about protecting yourself down the line so you can focus on the real problems. There is not a "legal system" solution, it just needs to be a solution that is not illegal.

-who then gave it to Steve Bannon(Media) to leak it to the public
- Bannon instantly gives it to Maxey to fly it out of the country

The video of Hunter telling the prostitute about the stolen laptop in Russia was on this laptop. He's talking about a completely different laptop that was stolen at an earlier date while he was binging on a trip to Moscow.
