Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Russian state media has reported that they counted 284,000 obituaries posted on Russian social media accounts.
Therefore pretty safe to say the Russians have lost 350,000+ soldiers so far in the war if not 400,000+ since not every dead Russian will result in an obituary being posted.

RU has pushed back in "Bradley Square" retaking positions & collapsing the point of that bulge, east from there UKR are pushing a new bulge forward, southern flank of Bakhmut has been further shored up while UKR continues to bounce off the northern flank, RU continues pushing their bulge in the north. Summer is coming to a close as we await the "shaping operations" that have been ongoing for 3 months now to end and the counteroffensive to begin as UKR still hasn't physically reached the first line of defense in a meaningful manner.

Poland pulled down Ukr flags at their government buildings. Apparently they were in talks with Ukr officials and the Ukrainians said some very unpleasant things about Polish people... And Putin suggested it in a speech. He said something along the lines of "Donbas are Russians and want to be Russian. Western Ukraine is Romanian and Polish and would probably prefer to switch as well"... or rough summation.
