Awesome pics. What was the knock on Oahu?
IMO, Oahu is similar to going to San Diego. Yes, the water is warmer, but unless you're planning on spending your time in North Shore, you're just in a decent sized city with lots of people around you in Oahu. It's not bad or anything, just not really worth the long trip out there when I could just got to San Diego. Maui on the other hand is worth the trip.

Ive been a couple of times. Honolulu just ok. North Shore is great, but many more things on Maui are better. Road to Hana blew it out of the water and driving north from Ritz on northwest side of the island was better as well. Just liked it a lot better man. Still gotta do Kauai and the bartender here at Wailea Marriott said we should give a couple of days to Lanai for beauty as well. Said side of that island with Waterfalls is actually tougher to get through than Hana, but just as pretty if not prettier in spots.

With my son in Ft Lauderdale visiting his doctor. He is 7 years old and has had 6 surgeries. Didn’t walk until age 4.5.

When he was born, until age 4, multiple doctors told us they didn’t know if he would ever walk. He will never be the same as everyone else, but coming from not knowing if he would walk to where we are now has surpassed all my expectations.

Cute kid! At least someone in your family is destined to get laid when they grow up.

Hang in there and keep up the good fight.

First time in Hawaii this week. Was on Maui through Wednesday, then Oahu. Did the road to Hana Monday — phenomenal. Was some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. Would definitely recommend. I’m still on Oahu and heading home Sunday. I would agree that Oahu is not as nice as Maui (too developed for my taste). However, we did drive to the north shore, and that was well worth it. great beaches up there. Went to Pearl Harbor today, which was something I’ve always wanted to do. Unbelievably moving.

Be sure to visit Diamon Head Memorial Park Veterans cemetary. Beautiful and touching.

Fyi.... the statue downtown of King Kamehameha is his true height. He was over 7' tall.
