How’s your local weather?

It's supposed to be 10 here tonight in the beautiful Hill Country of the GOAT of all GOATS. The temp dropped 21 degrees in 1.5 hrs. I had an old school thermometer on my porch in direct sunlight that read almost 100 degrees before the front came thru. It wasn't that hot obviously, but dayum. Currently 35....balmy compared to what some you you might be experiencing right now.

Just got home from the bar and the power was out. I was loading up the dog and stuff for overnight at a hotel and the power came back on. It's 12 degrees here and not sure of the wc, but at least I'll be in my bed

This is Corpus Christi Texas, not Corpus Christi Montana or Corpus Christi Minnesota.

12/23- Currently 70 and mostly cloudy. However, between now (1024 hrs) and 0700 tomorrow, we are going to see a 40+ degree drop. Temps are expected to be between 25-30. We call this week in Florida our "winter".
Yeah 21 tomorrow morning here in chuck. Sat also. I can't remember the last time it was cold like this on Christmas normally it's either sunny or raining

JFC…..I would have NEVER made it a day out there.

My buddy and I use to travel and snow board….I will do no more than half day on slopes as my body requires a half day in front of the fire for recovery.
Yeah I used to ski and do stuff in the mountains. Once it get below 0 just go inside. No good can come from being out in that.

The heater has been struggling with the change in temp.

We were in the truck to visit family and the wife is on the phone when I heard here say:

The heater has been acting up, since I didn't want a $1000 dollar electricity bill I turned it off last night. Have a call into a friend in hvac.

As soon as she hung up, I asked her to repeat the part about turning the heater off. Sure as I live and breathe she did. This required a quick lesson in the fact that the heater is GAS POWERED!!!!!

She said, but prices are on that too, right? Not that much since last winter.

Got home and turned back on. Temp went from 54 to 61 in 55 minutes.

Dude, get it done. That's how my shit burned down
Dude came by 5pm and charged my unit. Didn't work. I called him at 830pm and he said he'd come by 8am the next day. I was homeless and lost everything and a dog by 430am. Check the emergency heat strip if you haven't. I'm tye only fucker I've ever heard where that caused a fire. But I don't want to hear you're 2nd

Yes sir. I am monitoring it.

The thing is, our house is always cold. Even in the summer I have an electric heater I turn on to shit and shower. The trees behind us block the worst of the sun.
