It rained a ton here early summer but didn’t rain for most of July. Completely killed my yard. Got some good rain the last few days and it’s starting to green up

How bad is the flooding going to be you think?
I'm not sure tbh, we're on a flood watch until 7am tomorrow. I expect it won't be as bad as last week when we got absolutely dumped on but I have no clue.

I don’t know what the high was, but I nearly had a heat stroke working out in my garage.

However, supposed to be cooling down to mid 80s this week. Fall is on the way! My favorite time of year

Complete shitshow since 5pm yesterday haven’t really had time to bitch about it on the internet. The temperature actually went up last night to about 30 and it started some freezing drizzle crap that went on for 6 hours it froze onto everything immediately. 2 hours after that started the nws put out a warning for the ice completely unexpected. Then the temp dropped from about 22 to -8 in just over an hour. Got just enough snow to make visibility shit but not enough to cover the ice. Been pulling trucks up a hill most the morning cuz nothing has been treated it’s every man for himself right now.
It’s dropped to -10 since taking picture and will probly drop quite a bit more

The wind is starting to pick up in Dallas. Spent this AM wrapping the pipes of the water heater, opening doors for the sinks, closing drapes on windows, putting towels on the window sills and other measures.

KS/NE border get ready it changes quick if it hasn't already. Still getting colder at -12 now and wind has not let up one bit. The snow has basically blown clean off any hard surface cuz it's a solid sheet of ice, and when the state trucks come by and try to treat the roads the wind immediately blows the salt/sand crap clean off the road its hilarious. They only put the liquid crap on the bridges cuz it's a rural area but that stuff isn't even working that great, just making a slushy icy mess they weren't prepared one bit for ice and now its too late.

A bit cool here in the Vegas area in the night and mornings, but can't complain with many parts of the country getting hit with this winter blast. Got Highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's most days from now through New Years.
