It's not going to matter because people are dug in and opinions have already been formed, but in my opinion it is possible, and maybe even likely, that floyd ate/consumed the drugs, pills or whatever, when the police arrived. That would explain the really high fentanyl level in his blood at the time of his death. It is very unlikely someone who had that level would be walking around in the store prior to his interaction with police.
A couple of interesting things to me is that fentanyl is not manufactured or distributed by pharmaceutical companies in a pill form. Typically iv for hospitals or patches for chronic pain. His girlfriend stated they had been buying pills. Also, 4-anpp was in the tox report which is a marker for illicitly synthesized fentanyl (it is seen as a precursor typically). Counterfeit pills are a big problem currently, where fentanyl is being pressed into pill form and sold as hydrocodone or whatever. Stay safe out there.
The meth levels are low and over interpreted in this case. No opinion on causation of death, officer or Floyd, but it will be an interesting outcome. Could go either way.
