Wait what? He died at the hospital?
Thats the word. He was alive for about an hour after Chauvin got off him. Barnes also said that the prosecution only needs to prove that Chauvin contributed to Floyds death so that lower charge is probably gonna stick.

Honestly if he gets convicted of anything we should riot to return the favor.

Why aren’t the police stomping the person with their arms out holding them back. All you do is empower weak people lie that.
These people think they are following the footsteps of people who helped black people in the 60's south. Eating in a diner or sitting on a bus or going to school isn't the same as covering for a felony assault. I learned this when I was like 7.

Looks like it’s heating up in front of the police 👮‍♀️ station.

I worry this trial is going to spark shit in a bunch of cities if he gets off. Media has royally fucked us over on this one. They aren’t even really covering it right now, so everyone assumes Chauvin has to go to jail.

He's going to jail but it won't be for murder. It'll be the negligent homicide or whatever they call it. It won't be enough though. Hell, they could pin 15 years on him and it wouldn't be enough. These people want to riot and whatever happens they will find an excuse. Just keep that shit in the cities and we're good. Come out to the burbs and it'll get out of hand real quick.

So one of the prosecution experts said that Floyd had 2 forms of heart disease and that his body required more oxygen than the avg person. They gave him saline which dilutes the fentanyl dose test... so that 11 was likely wayyyyy higher before he was put on saline. This is the prosecutions witnesses.

I don't even know that they can prove that. It's one of those acute causes of death. If you're still alive after someone has his knee on your back, you're not likely to just up and die an hour later. If I'm on a jury and I find out from the defense's case that he was still alive after the encounter with the officer, it's case closed at that point.

Seems pretty simple really, he took a lethal level of fentanyl, maybe unknowingly, which impaired his ability to breathe even before he was on the ground. He resisted arrest and was restrained. He died in the hospital of respiratory failure due to fentanyl levels without a ventilator. I doubt he gobbled the pills, knowing that it was fentanyl to avoid a possession charge. His drug dealer poisoned him or the guy that manufactured the drugs.

I think both the defense and prosecution know the toxicology report, so they’re both prepping for that. Defense is trying to dwindle the prosecutions witnesses and then when its defense’s turn, boom: toxicology, training materials, and other neck kneeling samples.

Scary times. I’m glad I don’t do those types of drugs anymore. It used to always be comforting knowing that if your drugs were getting cut, it was with something cheaper than the drug like a laxative or something like that. These days you have to worry they are getting cut with cheap fentanyl that will kill you.

Pretty terrifying the rhetoric coming from so many of our politicians these days...and though stupid, I seriously doubt she is dumb enough to believe her own lies. She is intentionally stirring the pot to try to stoke more division and violence.
I'm in the Mad Max camp as of now. Police need to transfer or quit blue cities and let them go straight to hell. If you live in a 'hot spot' and haven't moved then that's on you after last summer.

I am almost with you...I hesitate, only because I think that is exactly what the powers that be want us to do- devolve into chaos. However, at this point, I'm not sure I see a way forward that doesn't involve shit getting pretty ugly before it gets better.
