Will he be with general population?
Not a chance.

Were going to have a lot of officers hiding during work and doing just enough to not get fired, thrown in jail at this point. The conviction on the first charge, wow.

If an arrestee eats a dope bag, gets narcaned and then dies after treatment while in your custody, or they take their seat belt off and are injured in an accident while in your custody - Youre going to prison. That's what the first two charges mean.

Will be interesting to see how many cops quit the Minneapolis pd.
Does anyone know how many years he’s facing?

This is wild to me. I really didn’t expect it to go that way.

I was just on ESPN.com and its the first story there. WTF does that have to do with sports?
I am sure they have their twisted logic they’ve been using for a while now to have this story. They probably haven’t correlated the downward spiral of viewership to the in your face leftist politics.

This could result in a real rebirth of rural America. If law and order breaks down due to police strikes, blue flue, light policing, etc., then people will have to move out of the uninhabitable cities. Heck, the Dems may defund the police in large cities.

Rural America may see growth finally. They will damn sure have police.

Does that mean law abiding citizens wont be harassed either?

Asking for everyone else. Oklahoma is so red even our Native Americans vote Republican.

If you're talking about the po dunk departments that are used as tax men, I hope so. Nothing worse that the ticky tack traffic tickets.

An example I'm gonna use is a DV that is a for sure arrest, but youre gonna have to use force for an arrest. Cops are gonna look for ways to not use force or make an arrest.

At the very most he was on trial for the 3rd charge which at least had the elements of what happened. The fact they convivted on the first two is proof they are gonna hang cops out to dry.

Such a shame.

Any reasonable person who watched that trial could not have handed out a guilty verdict for murder in any degree. Even manslaughter in Minnesota's definition is thin as hell. What happened up there during the trial with the violence and threats have to have swayed the jury. Convict or total destruction. It's fucking joke. The KKK of the 20s and 30s would be impressed.

Doesn’t the defense have the opportunity to interview the jury afterwards? I would ask if any of them heard about the $27 million settlement, Maxine waters and even pudding Joe spouting off in the past few days. If so, mistrial. Dems had to have guilty to uphold the myth that BLM lives off of. They new Breanna Taylor would not get them over the finish line and they lucked into Floyd last summer.

i would say Stalin, Mao, Mussolini, hitler and any leftist fascists including the leftist KKK would be impressed with what was started in the 60s have come to fruition of infiltration of the establishment among other examples over the past year.

The most that they can add. Otherwise the judges life and that of his family is over. Max allowable and non concurrent is my guess. That will help the SC appeal.

Case and point. This just happened and its being framed as the Cop did this as the verdict was coming out.

Protestors are already at the scene because of what they have heard.

The officer is already identified on social media with a picture of him from the scene. His life is ruined.

When the story comes out that the woman killed was actively trying to stab someone and that an officer saved a life, it will be too late.

That's why cops are gonna turtle up.

Cops should walk off the job until the people protesting them beg them to come back.

IMO Chauvin is likely criminally negligent in some respect. Probably not guilty on all those charges. Regardless, there is also no doubt in my mind he did not get a fair trial. Somewhere in the appeals process there will be a judge who is untainted enough to set aside this conviction. And we'll start this all over again. And it will be the fault of BLM and Democrat politicians for interfering in the justice system.

It seems one of Democrats' favorite moves is to sabotage a system then complain that it is "broken."

I dread one more day of these assholes being in charge, but I dread the hardliners that end up coming into power one day when the pendulum swings the other way even more.

We have a saying, the people that bitch the most about the police are the ones that call them the most. If cops walked it wouldnt do anything but hurt people who truly need help.

So be it. If this is the society people think they want, give it to them, and don't give it back until even Antifa anarchists are clamoring for a return to law and order.

I'm having a hard time with what to do.

The thing that gets me back into wanting to work is knowing that this is the vocal minority. The majority still like Cops and want us to do our job.

Its just the risk of ruining your life and the lives of your family.

I know a guy that shot someone about 6 months ago. There were no witnesses, aside from other cops. Somehow the story told to the media, by family friends, was that the bad guy was shot walking into his house with a subway sub in his hand. Hasnt even went to grand jury yet buy his picture has been on the news for months. The Church he has had to shut down. His kids cant go to school and his wife, a teacher, cant go back.

I have known this guy for 20 years. Decorated Marine. Pastor. Great guy. He shot a guy that was waiving a gun at him, a gun that was recovered at the scene.

His life is done.

My buddy's dad texted him this today: "The moral of this whole story is, as a police officer if you are dispatched to a call regarding a petty crime, upon reaching the scene, you grab your radio microphone and say to dispatch 'unable to locate the suspect,' then you drive towards the nearest Carl's Jr.'s and have lunch."

You're going to have to be a little more callous about protecting the public. I'm telling you, you need to make them beg for it.

Rather not say at this point. Nothing against you guys. Its just the world we live in.
NO shit. I've been using a vpn all the time now because Im afraid some douche will read a post on here and track my "racist" ass down. You know... because I thought it was manslaughter not murder. But here we are. It's not going to get better either. People that think this appeased the mob need to realize this is why you don't negotiate with terrorist.
