And underlying inflation declined a bit: So-called core prices, which exclude volatile food and energy costs, climbed 4.1% in September from 12 months earlier, down from a 4.3% year-over-year pace in August. That is the smallest increase in the core measure in two years.

Unfortunately $100k is not much anymore. I spent $40k building a detached garage with no plumbing or HVAC. Lumber is still overpriced and labor has almost doubled from 5 years ago.
You know this is false because no one person in the private sector could ever speak for all the individual insurance companies and their different actuarial calculations.
We have them were we live....except they rent them. New shotgun homes 2 bed 2 bath 900sq ft. over 2K a month rent. FULL. people live where they want to live and will pay to be in a nice area.
