What about buying my home 14 years ago, as it stands now it’s 50 years old. It’s been through more hurricanes than most homes in this entire zip code and is still standing here. Premiums are quadruple what I paid 14 years ago. I’ve made zero claims. Just sat here on my ass paying down a mortgage for 14 fucking years minding my own business, but I’m 4 times the risk now than I was in 2009. Again in a 50 year old house that hasn’t been blown over by wind… 50 fucking years of balls in a hurricane’s mouth.
