Lots of rumors locally about the issue with the previous guy. Before the season started, most of the players seemed to want Williams to be the starter, but the coaching staff named Sluka the starter. UNLV did start 3-0, but the QB wasn't very reliable and pretty much relied on hero ball, which got him highlights, but pissed off everyone else on the team.
It doesn't sound like there were too many guys sad to see him go.

This is a problem with the JAG corps in the military. It makes these lawyers think they really served in the military. They turn into nutso war hawks. They were as safe as a baby in their mothers arms when they deployed and they think they are John Rambo. The military needs to contract civilian only lawyers because this JAG corps in all the services is a scam and it creates these nuts. Some in question include Lindsey Graham, David French, Beau Biden, Ted Lieu and even Ron Desantis. Look at David French say "During my Deployment". Dude at a McDonalds for a few months in Iraq and he thinks he is Patton.
