At the defendants' request, Schoenfeld stepped down from the case on July 1, having disclosed a newly discovered relationship that, he mentioned, could cast doubts on Engoron's ethical integrity.

He planned to report these concerns to the relevant bodies, as outlined by Lewin in his documents.

Lewin suggested that the behaviors observed in this matter might have legal implications and urged for a thorough inquiry by the court.

I was watching "goodlawgic" YT channel breakdown some of the Trump case with this yahoo. That guy is a NY lawyer who would be libertarian/liberal by politics. He commented on how many times Engorons law clerk was sitting right next to him in court and that in all his years practicing law in NY he'd never seen a judge seem to lean on a law clerk anywhere close to this hard. He couldn't remember a single time a clerk sat next to a judge in open court.
