It would never happen.

The states revolt or break away from Russia then request that NATO come in and secure their nukes in exchange for some sanctions relief, access to banking, and access to western medicine.

Russia, historically speaking, has a long history of invading and oppressing other cultures. Giving those people back their lands so that they can form sovereign states would be a good first step towards a more peaceful & just world.

Trump and Biden have both done a nice job pushing those policies. Their approach towards China and trade has been pretty good and I like how they are expanding military spending. The CHIPS Act, The Inflation Reduction Act, and The bipartisan infrastructure deal all really helped expand the American industrial plant and stateside capacity as well.

Nobody that claims to want a strong US can say fuck NATO. NATO makes The US much more powerful given that we command multiple militaries instead of just our own in case of conflict. It’s crucial in keeping China from foolishly lashing out with a first strike against The US that could end up like a second Pearl Harbor.
