The more the 99.95% of people in this country, most of which would never say anything if these people just lived their lives quietly and didn't mess with children, the more this crap goes away. The impeachment is in the House. The trial is in the Senate. Fearing that you get someone worse shouldn't be a criterion for impeachment. Either they did something worthy of impeachment or not. There is merit in doing this as it stops the Senate from doing normal business while the trial is occurring. That is a plus for the taxpayers. An impeachment hearing in the House would also put on record lots of stuff that OBiden and Son have done. I'm guessing it would also force the DOJ, FBI and others who are withholding information/data/documents to be forced to turn those over. Certainly, trial in the Senate might force that since the Chief Justice of the SCOTUS would likely have power to force the release of that information rather than appealing through the justice system like they are having to do now to get the info. Of course, there is no guarantee Roberts would want that stuff out anymore than the dems.

There would not be a trial in the Senate. It would just be an up or down vote which would fail on party (plus Romney) lines.
You have more faith than me that all republicans besides psuedo liberal Romney wouldn't vote the same as him.
