The Fed just released their latest balance sheet figures, showing that they Fed balance sheet has risen by almost $400 Billion in the last two weeks.

Why are banks borrowing if everything is so sound as Powell and Yellen have stated? Could it be for safety, or do they really need it?

We have to remember, the Fed is the lender of last resort – Even at their new bank term lending facility, where banks can trade in their 2% long term bonds and get face value, they have to still pay about 4 3/8 on that money. So they are getting a 2% return, but have to pay 4 3/8%.



This would be like taking out a home equity line of credit at 4 3/8% and then putting it in your bank at 2%...it would not make sense…unless you REALLY need it. This shows that the banking sector is weak and liquidity is a problem.

This is not true. Desantis did not "bend" for Disney. People read Trump sycophants' tweets and take them as gospel. Desantis took governance away from Disney and created his own board. What he didn't do was dissolve the special "district", because that would have left $700 million in Disney bond debt as the responsibility of the 2 counties where Disney lays, instead of remaining a liability of Disney.

He didn't exactly cave on open carry, the florida senate leadership opposed him on it. IMO, he should stick to his guns and veto whatever they send up, but it's not like he was the one who necessitated dropping the open carry amendment.

OTOH, Trump caved immediately on the issue after Las Vegas and issued an executive order to ban bumpstocks. Trump was best at exposing himself.

No debt would have been transferred to the counties. This is just a liberal talking point. The counties would have charged the mouse impact fees for every bit of that plus future maintenance just like they do for every single new development that wants utilities and roads. I was hopeful they would even make Disney add a lane to I4 EB from Lakeland to Disney because the traffic along that stretch is out of control every single day.

I think comparing this to Nazis claiming they followed orders at the Nuremberg trials is a bit of a stretch, just a little. Nazis were exterminating a race of people, these cops were attempting to keep the Parisians from burning down the city.

Don’t mistake this as me not being sympathetic to the cause of the citizens, because I am. I’m a civil servant, and served in the US Army a while back, and I followed orders I didn’t like, but nobody called me a Nazi or compared my actions to Nuremberg. Just sayin’.

Its all good. Didnt mean for it to be a sob story deal. When we were in the hospital at diagnosis, I told my wife and family there are kids wheeling around chemo bags, so it can always be worse. Teaching him to eat right and he is starting to put the devices on himself already.

My wife is type 1. She was diagnosed at 13 (51 now). The technology is getting a ton better. Between her pump and CGM sensor, there are no more surprise dips on blood sugar. Best of luck going forward.

Those actions led to the fires not vice-versa.

Therefore the police are violating their Constitutional/Human Rights to peacefully protest.

One side doesn't get to beat on the other without consequences.

We rely on the police and civil servants to be on the side of the law and law-abiding citizens.

We no longer have that.

Thus the police who are acting as enforcers of an unjust regime DESERVE to get "Knocked The Fuck Out"

I don’t know the rules/laws in France regarding the right to assemble/protest, and I don’t know what came first- the protesters setting fires or the cops charging into crowds swinging batons. If it’s the former, I stand by my original statement. If the latter, then I can own up and say I was wrong.
