I would agree except for statements about carrying being a fundamental right when referencing Dread Scott. That’s where I started to question things

Texas like many states has Constitutional Carry which allows conceal carry without the need for a license, training or proficiency. It's questionable if other states allow reciprocity. This decision ratifies that self-defense is a right inherent in man and having to justify to a state that right is no bueno. States may try to require taking courses and getting a license but they cannot mandate that you justify to them and get their permission to begin the process. The way I read it is that it obviates the state's veto power in determining whether one's natural self-defense desire is justified.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I'd rather people not know I'm carrying for several reasons. One, is so a potential bad guy doesn't know. Second is that some people get weird when the see guns, so it's just best to keep it hidden
