I just saw where Thomas talked about gay marriage and contraception needed to be looked at next. This is where Pubs lose me. You just had 2 big victories and now want to get all uppity!!

Yep. Always thought I was a democrat until a few years ago - and that right there is one big reason why. Going after gay marriage and/or contraception would be a huge problem for Republicans. Hell, also pro-choice until they take it way too far.

Got it- I very well may be wrong or misunderstood some case-specific references.

Most MSM headlines are misleading AF(as we all know here)
There are battles in the war to be fought and you just won 2 big battles. Take the w's and move on to stuff that matters. How about taking up the election fraud when it was in front of you or ObamaCare?

Which one of you jive turkeys is from/lives near the Omaha/C Bluffs area? I think @Nayat might be and there’s more than one.
Looking for someone that might know where I can score some cws tickets I wanna take one of my boys I’m only 2 hours away I thought about trying to find some around the stadium but have never tried going without having tickets first.
There’s no paper tickets anymore. E-tickets only. Have to have them scanned from your phone at the gate. I hear it is making it take forever to get in.

Coworker said they didn’t get to their seat until the 2nd inning. Too many SEC bumpkins needed iPhone tutorials at the entrance.

Have the Obama missed layup gifs been scrubbed? They tried to portray him as such a good shot? Can’t find the vid where he missed 17 shots in a row either.
The guy can’t play worth a shit, edited clips and media so excited he didn’t fall down like Joe would on the court. Calling Obama an athlete is an insult to all Athletes.

I read the full text and didn’t pick up on that from Alito or Thomas.

In fact, Alito explicitly stated that this decision solely applies to abortion and should not be used or applied to any other discussion(he was alluding to gay marriage etc.) in regards to the 14th amendment.

I think it’s a made up left talking point to scare monger those brainwashed lunatics even more. But maybe I’m wrong

Cornyn, Other Republicans Push For Biden Administration To Expand CRT

If you're keeping an eye on what Sen. John Cornyn has in store for your Second Amendment rights, you might want to watch his other hand. He has just recently reintroduced the Civics Secures Democracy Act, which would enable the federal government to impose critical race theory (CRT) that is, state-sanctioned racism and anti-Americanism on public school civics courses via federal grants.

Of course, the drafters of the bill are too politically savvy to explicitly endorse critical race theory. Instead, the legislation provides for $6 billion in federal grants to states, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, and researchers to improve civics and American history education primarily for "traditionally underserved students" (sections 102-106). The bill makes clear that grant applications must demonstrate how the applicant intends to prioritize the education of such students.

As explained in detail by Stanley Kurtz at the Ethics and Public Policy Center (see here and here), this anodyne-sounding terminology masks a deeply partisan agenda an agenda that parents are fighting across the country. Kurtz reports that while the re-introduced bill removes a previous iteration's problematic references to "action civics" (leftist political agitation for course credit), its central focus on "underserved" students is key to how the Biden Department of Education will implement it.

So, the SCOTUS ruling yesterday on the NY gun law. Does that mean all conceal carry requirements at the state level are null and void? What about red flag laws being passed after the fact?
Good question, that I'm waiting to hear an answer on also. I have my CCW permit where I'm at, but you can open carry in NV with no permit. I'm sure there will be a lot of push back from states like NY and IL, but it seemed pretty clear in their decision.

It's a right granted by the second amendment, and it's not up to any governmental agency to determine whether or not a person is able to carry and/or own a gun.

Lyme disease would be the limpest biological weapon ever created. The spirochete that causes Lyme was discovered in 1982 no one knew the cause of the weird symptoms after an often unnoticed tick bite until then. Why have a vague tick borne illness that infects in less than 1% of tick bites, is nonlethal, environment dependent (there aren’t too many ticks in the middle east), takes a month to develop symptoms and seems to prioritize overweight, depressed, middle aged females?

Just because covid was perfected in a lab, doesn’t mean everything else was.

No but it sets a standard that you can not make new rules for people to obtain a CCP which means it will make it very difficult for states to restrict getting a conceal carry permit. Does not effect existing permits.

It also lays the ground work to challenge any red flag laws and will make them very hard to fight in favor of them.

You will still need a CCP depending on state laws. Even if you live in a state like Alabama that you do not have to have a permit you will need one when traveling to states that do like Florida.

However not all states recognize other states CCP so you need to check. Most sheriff's offices that issues them also offer a list of states that recognize their CCP

It’s the same here. Open carry is permitted but conceal carry is not without a license. I’m not an open carry fan because it makes you a target imo.

I had a CCW in Colorado. But because I moved here they want me to take another course and qualify with a target. Which I don’t necessarily disagree with for beginners. But I was combat arms and I’m well acquainted with shooting a hand gun and safety. I used to have to teach it.

Honestly, it’s a conflicting view for me. Maybe it’s just veteran privilege kicking in.

I would agree except for statements about carrying being a fundamental right when referencing Dread Scott. That’s where I started to question things

Yeah, I'm the same way. I'd rather people not know I'm carrying for several reasons. One, is so a potential bad guy doesn't know. Second is that some people get weird when the see guns, so it's just best to keep it hidden
