Here is the problem Biden created. From the time the permit to explore for oil is given to an oil company, and assuming they do find a potential drill site, it is usually a minimum of 5 years before that well is drilled and producing. Assuming every single step in the process never has even one glitch.
So basically when Biden shutdown the XL Pipeline that Trump approved after 8 years of refusal by Obama. He shut off 800,000 Barrels per day of upgraded Alberta oil that was being sold to US Refineries at a discount of 10-15 USD per barrel. A huge kick in the nuts by an absolute moron.
