Has any of you unvaccinated folks traveled to the Bahamas lately? We are set to go toward the end of May and am curious what hoops you had to jump through? Hoping it all goes away soon. Thanks!
Just got back today. Unvaccinated = pcr test 3 days before entrance.

Vaccinated =rapid test.

It’s all enforced by the airlines and you have to do a bunch of busy work like uploading passports and test results etc but nothing to o bad.

BS. There was definitely fraud, but over 10% on a program where no one could get more than $10MM and was easily audited with tax returns? Only a complete fool would believe that number. But when you create a tattle tale line and jealous people see their neighbors got a big check......
Nope... I wish it were true but you are on the wrong side of this. Have four businesses in a major urban market and can tell you the few that do come to work live next to those that are experts at govt programs and how to avoid having a job 50-60K for an llc via PPP and those were established after covid started if they were minority owned ...US govt will never get that back. Hell Hunter had an art gallery with two employees and they got 500k... When you pass bills with trillions of dollars some of that money does go to NGO's that are solely responsible for teaching people how to take advantage of the current system quit supporting those businesses

I Thought This Fit Our Little Thread Perfectly

During World War II, fighter planes would come back from battle with bullet holes. The Allies found the areas that were most commonly hit by enemy fire. They sought to strengthen the most commonly damaged parts of the planes to reduce the number that was shot down.

A mathematician, Abraham Wald, pointed out that perhaps there was another way to look at the data. Perhaps the reason certain areas of the planes weren't covered in bullet holes was that planes that were shot in those areas did not return. This insight led to the armor being re-enforced on the parts of the plane where there were no bullet holes.

The story behind the data is arguably more important than the data itself. Or more precisely, the reason behind why we are missing certain pieces of data may be more meaningful than the data we have.

Don’t only listen to what is being said. Listen more to what is not being said.
That struck a chord with me. Thanks for this.

—Many countries and companies that buy dollar denominated commodities have plenty of dollars and treasuries in reserve. If the dollar isn’t the reserve currency that built in demand sites up. Bad for treasuries and the dollar.

—I’m invested in real estate, commodities (the kind that if they fell on your toe it would hurt), and a highly diversified stock portfolio. I’m all out of interest rate sensitive instruments.

—I would have 6 months of food at your disposal. I bought another deep freezer and it’s full of pork, fish, venison, beef, and chicken. The other freezer has plenty of meant and veg that I’ve previously frozen. BE SURE to invest in a vacuum sealer. Things last much longer in the freezer when vacuum sealed.

—batteries, candles, canned veg/fruit, generator.

—have a place to go away from the turmoil that is sure to come. Suburban Chicago will get overrun if the shit hits the fan. Those without will go in search of those with.

—real estate, mainly residential, should be OK for a while. If things go really off the rails it could be a real mess.
Great post. As for the vacuum sealer, pay the extra $3-400 and get a chamber sealer. That will allow you to vacuum seal soups and stews. We have a bunch of lamb shank stew, French onion soup, chicken noodle soup, broccoli and cheese soup stored up. Can't do that with a regular vacuum sealer.

We are pretty prepared for the shit storm, but living in Broward know once it gets close it is time to get across the ally to Marco and bunker down at my folks house. Need veggies, we have a ton of fruit trees there and obviously being on 500 feet of water front food is not a problem.

I was there for a week over new years, 20 of us, mostly unvaxxed, test before you leave the states, then we had a dr come to our house before we left and tested us, money talks if you need to leave, luckily nobody had the shangai shivers, great time, enjoy

Smart.

My best friend in life has a family compound on a remote lake in Minnesota. That’s where we are heading when the shit hits the fan.

I can't decide which I would rather eat forever, snook or walleye. Either way both delicious.

EDIT: I see the remote part, my folks don't live on Marco, just north of it and the island has actually had meetings about arming the only road in and using a boat flotilla to stop all traffic through the river. So once we get there if shit does go down we are locked and loaded, with all the snook/redfish/grouper we can eat.

CARES Act =/= PPP. No one with two employees got $500K.

CARES Act had TONS of fraud, but very little of it, comparatively, came from PPP. Also, there were no carve outs or exceptions for minority owned businesses, except at the very end. You're likely thinking of EIDL, which was a direct government program.

Ima say it again , the FBI/DOJ are so deeply corrupt and politicized that the federal "investigation" into Hunter is actually a coverup

does anyone really believe the DOJ is going to indict Hunter in an election year ?

things are so bad legally and politically for Hunter and by extension Joe and by extension the DNC that simply self proclaiming his innocence is not going to help

however , an "extensive federal investigation " that ultimately finds no wrongdoing would be just the ticket

so when the Rs take control of Congress in January those planned investigations into the laptop and 50 intel officials who lied will all be rendered moot and vindictive

And if this happens, the Republic is Over

because at that point you've further cooked the intelligence community, the FBI, the DOJ and the judicial system and burned it right to the ground

Election year? If they were concerned about that, they would've stopped Biden from doing 99% of what he's done, and wouldn't let him anywhere near a microphone. My guess is they'll dangle Hunter out there as a threat to old Joe to step down when the time comes.

Republicans had the senate and the white house, they did nothing about Hunter's laptop. McConnell could've held emergency hearings and forced it into the news, 3 weeks before the election. They had control of the House, Senate and White House for 2 years, and the Weiner laptop, which is said to be worse than anything any of us could imagine, and did nothing but hide it. Trump's good friend Bernard Kerik claims to have seen it, he no doubt had let Trump know what he saw. Trump and his appointees did absolutely nothing with it.

The leadership on each side protects the other. They're not going to really go after anyone. They'll just make Fox News soundbites about "getting to the bottom" of something they'll never dare look into.

If an EMP is deployed you will need to walk to your spot.

That is the deal breaker

I have a sweet spot but if my daughter is in school an hour away and my wife
and I are are at work 20 minutes away by car it’s going to be a huge problem.

If I see it coming I am golden.

Those dots are misleading. My family lives on over 100 acres in the Louisville area. that Louisville dot makes this area look densely populated. Its not. Hell. Rhode island, Ne Jersey and delaware have farms. They would just have to kill tons of immigrant city folk to protect it. LO
Sorry my friend but there are over 200M Americans east of the Mississippi. If you are east of there, in a shtf situation and the grid is down. You will be eating long pig.
Also if you use Louisville as your Center Dot, and draw a circle with a diameter of 300 Miles ie one tank of gas that is the population that you will be fending off in a grid down.
Metro Louisville Kentucky has a population of 1.4M people, no expand the circle to 300Miles or 150 miles in all directions from Louisville, you will be sharing your supplies or you will be dead.

I agree, that is a long walk across Florida but I will try it. If it really goes to shit we have zero chance here in Broward. Our neighborhood is loaded with guns, but so are the criminals from Lauderhill and Miami. Plus we have no sustainable food source. Have to find a way to get over there, weather by bike or walking. Shitty month but survival is worth it.

McConnell is a feckless swamp creature

But had he wanted to highlight Hunters laptop criminality how far would he have gotten holding bipartisan Senate hearings while the letter from 50 senior intelligence officials called it a Russian attack on our democracy, and Twitter and FB were blocking all substantive opposition to the official narrative ?

Nowhere

Haven’t posted in a while. Used to post how bad our public schools are getting in north dallas (RISD). Schools were excellent not even 10 years ago but are rotting from within with all the woke BS. Anyways, we have had enough and are planning on home schooling our (8 yo twins) next year. We applied to Prestonwood Christian academy and St Rita but met some homeschooling folks that really opened our eyes to the advantages. Anyways, we are at a homeschooling conference in St Louis right now (Christian based). I’ve been so in the dumps about the state our our country, our youth, and the collective shift away from God. Being around people here has been a great pick me up. So many solid people of faith doing the right thing for the next generation. The backbone of this country will not give in EVER.
Keep posting

The media has the power to blackout information to this degree, but Republicans will somehow reacquire this magic - to the level that the republic will be set aflame - if Hunter Biden isn't exonerated in the next few months? Your reasoning makes no sense to me.
