I Thought This Fit Our Little Thread Perfectly

During World War II, fighter planes would come back from battle with bullet holes. The Allies found the areas that were most commonly hit by enemy fire. They sought to strengthen the most commonly damaged parts of the planes to reduce the number that was shot down.

A mathematician, Abraham Wald, pointed out that perhaps there was another way to look at the data. Perhaps the reason certain areas of the planes weren't covered in bullet holes was that planes that were shot in those areas did not return. This insight led to the armor being re-enforced on the parts of the plane where there were no bullet holes.

The story behind the data is arguably more important than the data itself. Or more precisely, the reason behind why we are missing certain pieces of data may be more meaningful than the data we have.

Don’t only listen to what is being said. Listen more to what is not being said.
And this is the reason I always seek alternate sources of info. Even those not approved by some folks and the Elite Trash.
Many times the National Enquirer has more truth than the MSM.
The Experts are quite often the most skilled at telling lies and Bullshitting.
I prefer to hear the enemies side as much as they piss me off, the unvarnished story quite often as a few kernels of truth

In other Florida news, Obama appointee strikes down election integrity laws

to restrict drop boxes and vote harvesting is RAYCISSSSSSS

U.S. District Judge Mark Walker in Tallahassee blocked the state from enforcing provisions aimed at reducing the use of drop boxes for ballots, making it more difficult for third-party organizations to collect voter registration forms, and banning groups from offering food, water and other aid to people waiting in line to vote

@MortgageHorn could you move these recs to another thread? I want to go back and look at them because I may be heading down there shortly and will never be able to find them in this thread. A travel recommendation thread would be real nice.

BS. There was definitely fraud, but over 10% on a program where no one could get more than $10MM and was easily audited with tax returns? Only a complete fool would believe that number. But when you create a tattle tale line and jealous people see their neighbors got a big check......
As a commercial banker that lived worked through both rounds of PPP, I 100% believe there was 10% or more fraud. You don’t understand, there were no tax returns required to be collected. We were only permitted by the SBA to perform the most basic due diligence. Hand written payroll records were accepted. I can go on and on and I am sure there are many other bankers that follow this thread and will support what I am saying. And then, it was all forgiven. I believe this story is legit.

Jmo. This country still produces a ton of food. I bet we just have shortages, really expensive food and off and on products.

I talked to a bunch of Serbians about it when nato was sanctioning them and their currency hyperinflated.

I'm just glad I'm not in the northeast. Densely populated areas are going to get hit the hardest, especially combined with cold weather

They are only auditing loans of $2M or more. If only 10% was stolen then it's probably more successful and secure than most government programs.

I was a lender during PPP as well. What you're saying is false. For the initial loans, minimal was required, but we had to verify both payroll records and 941s for any loan over $150K in order to grant forgiveness, and the law required us to maintain those records. Prior to the 3508S, we needed extensive documentation even on the small loans. If you all committed fraud, that's on you, but you're projecting. I'd bet my entire fortune its nowhere near 10% fraud.

Truth is, all things considered, including the massive rollout so quickly when unemployment exceeded 20% and uncertainty was everywhere, PPP was arguably the greatest government program in history. No amount of hindsight or revisionism will change that.

was not responding you to start an argument, we obviously had different experiences. You are correct in what we had to collect and I was with a 25 billion dollar institution, so we were trying our best to be accurate with many systems in place. There is no reason for you to insinuate I somehow participated in fraud simply because I have my own opinion.

FFS. This was a week ago and not a peep? Kinda a big deal, no? Are we assuming this is the same footage used in the Mules movie what's his name is going to release this summer? Is there a dam to break or are we going to the grave with most the country not receiving the truth? Fucking media is the root of this all. Something needs to be done.
If you have enough cash and control enough people you can keep the dam from breaking.

The thing is... grain feeds our meat production. If you increase grain 5X then meat has to go up 5X. That isn't just in cities. That everyone who isn't producing their own. People look at our food production wrong. We don't produce most of the food we eat. We produce most of the involved in our food production which includes feeding livestock. Once you take fertilizer into account, if you look at the cost benefit analysis for most farmers... a bunch aren't going to plant this year. It won't be most but it'll be enough to make a bad situation worse.

Its the problem with socialism and communism but they'll try to blame the free market. The free market would have oil producers pounding holes in the ground like Joe does 10yo girls. But the government won't allow it and they forcing new taxes on them and all this is going make things worse this fall.

You need to realize that even the Biden administration is saying that food shortages are going to happen. They won't admit there is a problem at the southern border. So the food shortages are going to be worse than the border.

Make sure you have 6 months of food and stock up on meat now. That shit is about to get insane.

East of the Mississippi you are DEAD MEAT most of the food is produced west of the MississippiView attachment 90178
Those dots are misleading. My family lives on over 100 acres in the Louisville area. that Louisville dot makes this area look densely populated. Its not. Hell. Rhode island, Ne Jersey and delaware have farms. They would just have to kill tons of immigrant city folk to protect it. LOL.

Fair enough. I'm just saying the fraud is nowhere near where people think. All of the numbers come directly from IRS tax forms, even if banks didn't verify it. Democrats are trying to use inflated numbers based on solicited anonymous fraud reports in order to attack a "Republican corporate bailout" even though, except for a few unintended loopholes, all of the money went to small businesses.

Ima say it again , the FBI/DOJ are so deeply corrupt and politicized that the federal "investigation" into Hunter is actually a coverup

does anyone really believe the DOJ is going to indict Hunter in an election year ?

things are so bad legally and politically for Hunter and by extension Joe and by extension the DNC that simply self proclaiming his innocence is not going to help

however , an "extensive federal investigation " that ultimately finds no wrongdoing would be just the ticket

so when the Rs take control of Congress in January those planned investigations into the laptop and 50 intel officials who lied will all be rendered moot and vindictive

And if this happens, the Republic is Over

because at that point you've further cooked the intelligence community, the FBI, the DOJ and the judicial system and burned it right to the ground
