Bastard is still bold.

Mr. Strzok has appeared on MSNBC and various other platforms to make his claim that Carlson and Gabbard are actually controlled operatives of the Russian government. Ordinarily this would be silly, and we would laugh at him for these ridiculous political games. But there’s something else…

What does Strzok’s outlook tell us about the current state of competency within the FBI? This is the same guy who accused CIA asset Carter Page of being an agent of a foreign power in a fraudulent FISA application, that eventually was granted by the court to permit Title-1 surveillance on Mr. Page by Agent Strzok and his colleagues.

This is the type of person working at the top of the FBI counterintelligence operation? It is pathetic, but unfortunately, not funny.

This man was head of counterintelligence at the FBI.

Think about that.

This is how fkd up this industry is. We have no less than 6 wind farms within 50 miles of my house with another under construction less than 10 miles and we use none of the electricity generated from them. Our electricity comes from a natural gas plant driving steam turbines that was built in 69.
I've heard some of the wind farms were built but had no way to get the electricity to the grid. I believe Boone Pickens abandoned his desire to build one because of that or he couldn't get the gov't to pay for moving the electricity to the grid.

A 780 mile mile transmission line project has been held up by legal and political bullshit as usual. It will eventually,if ever completed, take electricity from western Kansas to MO, IL, and IN.

This is what Bitcoin solves. Convert this green energy into a store of value while the transmission lines are worked out.

Just like then as now, I want a choice. I prefer electric.

I’m checking. Got a call into a buddy who is on the BOD of our electric cooperative. I play golf with several landowners who have windmills on their property and that is where I got my info from.
Edit: Sunflower Electric Power Cooperative owns the coal powered plant in Holcomb, KS. All wind farm electricity goes back east.
Well, it’s far, far, far more complex than that. But if it’s a Sunflower coal plant, they are keeping most of that for their member/owner coops . . . as long as the Southwest Power Pool dispatches it to operate, which isn’t a given anymore with wind generation saturation.

That isn’t even the biggest issue with wind energy. It takes a minimum of 5mph to get a blade turning. When is the most critical need for electricity? Mid day when temps are elevated and houses are trying to cool. When is there the least amount of wind? Mid day. It will not protect us when needed most.

And, cold days have the highest wind. Guess what? Turbines don’t work in wind above 55mph. You might think well it doesn’t get that fast very often. Think about where turbines are placed. On higher elevations and in sparsely populated areas… wind is regularly over that number.

Lastly, the turbines have hydraulic pitch and yaw controls. They also have a gear box. Guess what is in both of those?

Its FN comical to think “green” will ever be green or produce enough energy to support 340mm people.

Solar works on those days but the transfer rate is slightly above 50%… not helpful either.

It’s all about graft and control. Oil made billionaires when millionaires were scarce. Politicians want their slice now.
You didn’t even mention they have to shut down when temps get above about 102 degrees. Not that it ever does that in west Texas. 😉

A lot of things have held it up, but very little of it is legal or political. The company tried to do without using the benefits of regulatory oversight that would give them condemnation rights for landowners who would not come to agreement on the line path. They built their own hurdles with their business plan.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) joined his Democrat colleagues on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee in voting to keep the federal mask mandate in place for children as young as two-years-old.

Mitt Romney is the only Senate HELP Committee Republican to join Democrats in voting to allow federal mask mandates for toddlers. See 1:24.

Am I thinking they had a problem with prairie chicken habitat originally?

Everyone has that problem. But that was mostly a few years ago with the double circuit 345kV line that went from Wichita to the west and also down to Oklahoma. The big DC line ran into real problems with landowners demanding too much for easements and no legal authority to condemn the land for easement rights at a reasonable price. They eventually submitted to the regulatory requirements that provided the condemnation rights and thing moved forward faster. They also are having to do this across several states which takes a loooooong time.
