New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo doesn’t just have his brother Chris at CNN, he also has ties to one of its top executives — sparking accusations that it’s why the network has turned a blind eye to its star host’s involvement in his sibling’s sexual harassment scandal.
Allison Gollust was Cuomo’s communications director before becoming executive vice president at CNN — where she was even recently tapped to replace Jeff Zucker as Worldwide President, Fox News has noted.
“CNN has a real ethical problem on its hands,” former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer told Fox News on Wednesday,
Fleischer was adamant that Chris Cuomo had escaped punishment for his role in advising his brother over his mushrooming scandal because of the influence of Gollust.
“She now runs the show, she’s the number two to Jeff Zucker at CNN,” the former aide to George W. Bush told Fox.
You used to be able to hop on the connection without getting on the original leg. Cant do that anymore.Possible it could have flown from tx to DC before Portugal
It all depends on how the virus is transmitted. Is it respiratory droplets or is in airborne? If it is respiratory droplets, as in a cough or sneeze, a mask would work as long as it is sealed in place. And washing hands, disinfecting, are probably the most important thing. Rarely do people sneeze or cough at someone but they touch their snotty face then touch a doorknob. If it is airborne, the virus size is measured in nanometers (100nm for Covid-don’t quote me) clothe masks probably do not work that well, surgical masks are probably better, N95 masks work very well. I think they were made for Tuberculosis based on the size of the bacteria - they are uncomfortable, harder to breathe through, and require a good seal. In the hospital setting, you can’t have facial hair or you need to wear a special hood. Masks are such a political thing now. According to most of the published studies there might be some benefit but there are so many variables that it’s hard to know. Also, masks have been politicized so much that most do not want to be the one to suggest they don’t work, they are ostracized, their career could be over, what happens if there results are wrong and masks do work, etc. There is probably a ton of selection bias in getting a “favorable“ result. Your policy makers are risk adverse - and will always recommend something without looking at the big picture. The think since they might work, everyone has to wear one. How good are kids at complying with the masks and doing it right. I can’t get my kids (3&5) to do anything I ask them. As this shit went on for almost 2 years it’s like they doubled down b/c they don’t want to be wrong. Most reasonable people thought lets do this shit for a few weeks but would of said Fuck you if they knew we’d still be here 20 months later. For a good portion of the population the response has been worse than the disease. My first day working in the state virus lab, I was shown an electron photo of a virus beside a mask hole. It was like a BB in a boxcar. I was then told by the Dept Head that "we don't wear masks". They wouldn't stop any of the viruses we worked with. We did wear gloves because they reminded us to not put our fingers in our eyes. We also had several other safety measures.
Nebraska, reputation wise, is nowhere near A&M or Texas. The amount of academic research, etc. they do probably dwarfs Nebraska. We need our med school, you don’t.None of the Univ of Texas' medical schools are located on their campus (perhaps the one they are building in Austin is or is nearby).
That’s an excellent school and that county ranks number one or number two nationally for public schools in America. Surprising to have a communist teaching at the school. I was told today she was basically forced out after thatUnbelievable, I am a graduate of that school (yes, from the old campus a long time ago) and am disappointed in where we have ended up.
Absolutely could not be any other illness out there. Covid killed them all and birthed a Greek alphabet's worth of little devils.Pretty sure I have the Rona again; major sinus pressure, runny nose and a couple other symptoms. It’s definitely going around a bunch of people I know. Last time was feb 2020. Damn vaccinated people creating new variants so I can catch it again. Why are they so inconsiderate?
My problem is none of the blue masks seal anything. If your glasses fog, any virus present is escaping and circulating in the environment. If they are meant to contain droplets of saliva which may contain the virus, then once the saliva dries the virus remains to be disseminated with each breath. People aren't disposing of these masks after each use. They put the mask down on surfaces that may themselves have viruses on them. Then put the same infected mask back on and off they go to their next store or home or neighbors home. Same with people who had the virus. They get well and then put the same virus ladened mask back on and run the risk of reinfection. N-95 by definition is 5% inefficient. As you said, they must be form fitted to each person. Those purchased at Sherwin-Williams aren't.It all depends on how the virus is transmitted. Is it respiratory droplets or is in airborne? In ideal conditions, airborne viruses can basically float for a couple hours and disperse throughout a room. That’s why in the early in Covid, people were catching it in group settings that were indoors (church choir, funerals, etc.). HEPA filters and room circulation would seem to be a benefit but our CDC said that it was passed via droplets so they were not encouraged. Also the 3-6 feet rules are basically worthless for airborne viruses. The 6 foot rule in particular has been medical dogma for infections for a long tIme. It dates back to old research on Tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is a bacteria, so it is larger, and someone calculated that the max distance it could fly with a cough/sneeze is about six feet.
There has been almost no outside transmission of Covid, from what I can tell. It makes sense b/c the airborne virus would disperse rapidly. Keeping our kids from going outside and going to the playground and being around other kids was criminal.
There is a really good WIRED article that explains this stuff. It’s not the NEJM, but they talk to lab researchers, engineers, the people that do experiments and do calculations based on size, airflow - the physics behind tiny particles that are airborne. An airborne virus will act similar to any similar particle the same size, like various types of pollution. They also explain that many are starting to believe that most viruses that infect via the respiratory system are probably airborne. Here is an ok Lancet article provides evidence that it is airborne.

Vaccinated people are certainly part of the problem. However, it's the thousands of infected illegals being flown to every airport in the country that is the bigger problem. None of them are vaccinated or quarantined. They are simply walking talking viral Typhoid Mary's being deliberately introduced into our cities and towns to reinfect us all.Pretty sure I have the Rona again; major sinus pressure, runny nose and a couple other symptoms. As companies across the country including Facebook, Walmart, Google, Uber and Disney begin to mandate Covid-19 vaccinations as a condition of employment, workers who are fired for refusing to do so might not receive unemployment benefits, according to WUSA.
In Washington, D.C., the Office of Unemployment Compensation lists being fired for "gross misconduct" as a reason someone would be disqualified from receiving benefits. Maryland state code also lists "gross misconduct" as a disqualifying factor.
"Gross Misconduct is actually defined, at least in part, as an act which deliberately or willfully violates an employer's rule," Seltzer explains. "You can be terminated if you violate a rule, especially if it's intentional or deliberate."
Willfully refusing a vaccination for COVID-19 after your employer mandates it would qualify as "gross misconduct," Seltzer said. -WUSA
Sounds just like my ex. I basically raised my daughter on my own. The ex is on divorce #3 right now. I was first. Now she's got 6 kids with 3 dad's and is on the prowl for #4. Even her kids can't stand her. Let's put it this way, when she left she emptied the bank account and took everything including my clothes which she told the movers to put in the trash. She left my daughters stuff...emptied the house but left all of my daughers stuff. She even took the dogs (which I got later when she left them with a friend when she was going out of town). Evil bitch. And the Yorkie-Poo

My wife and her sister thought for sure they had covid also. Both had total lack of energy, lots of congestion, coughing, etc. Both tested and neither were covid. Just some other nasty respiratory virus, like Viking was saying. Probably RSV or some other harsh rhinovirus or something.Absolutely could not be any other illness out there. Covid killed them all and birthed a Greek alphabet's worth of little devils.
Interesting tidbit I read. Seems a lot of kids are sick with RSV and not Covid. Could be a rumor but am wondering what those symptoms are like and how that is spread?
