So I’m in North Florida on vacation with the family for basically the last week of summer. Amelia Island. Great place. Very conservative area. But I’ll be damned if I haven’t seen a few people wearing masks around town and even on the freaking beach.

First I heard of this young lady. That’s pretty amazing considering there can’t be more than 3000 people who live there. It’s freakin’ small and probably one the coolest places to camp and fish. They even got a Texas boy doing killer bbq there. We go out of way to get some. I don’t have many of the town but here are a few from past trips. Got a couple of friends down there. Runs the Iditarod and then summer helicopters people to a glacier for sled tours on the glacier. He also a yurt by a mountain lake called Bear Lake. He float planes you in there with all your provisions and leaves you up ther. It’s got a bear fence around it and it is crazy beautiful.

I took a client and his wife to dinner tonight. Steakhouse has been in business for many years. Open the menu and there is a note letting customers know that all steaks and chops listed will have an 8% up charge due to skyrocketing meat costs. Inflation is a myth though.
