SignUp Now!True with Michelson…..he was about giving legitimacy and getting it launched! Cam Smith will cause the rumble though. Losing young champions and potentially the worlds top player and player of the year will cause issues.I don't know. Scheffler said it was unintentional and he and Smith were high-fiving each other during their rounds.
Mickelson was the cornerstone. He gave it legitimacy. If he doesn't go, all those other guys might not have been able to step out on their own. One guy did, Phil Mickelson. If LIV becomes big time, Mickelson will be remembered with Norman as the guys who made it work.

Anyone that thinks this isn't tied to Cam Smith and the ripples its gonna cause has their head in the sand.so it appears Tiger and a bunch of highly ranked players are meetimg
Soon to discuss how to make the PGA tour better. It is amazing what a little competition will do you motivate players and entities like the tour to make a change. Forever the tours have been super beneficial to the top ranked guys and the lesser players were left to sort of fend for themselves. The LIV has opened eyes to all of the players and whether those like Tiger wants to admit it or not, they are forcing the tours to be more equitable. God bless Phil Mickelson and his efforts to make golfs governing bodies wake up and realize that they will lose many top players and in turn deplete a good product if they do not start focusing on those that aren’t just top 25 players. Finchem needs to explain why such a small percentage of the revenue generated actually goes to prize money. JMO
I wonder if any of the current PGA sponsors will start jumping off the ship like so many of the players have. After all, if you lose viewers, they lose returns on their investments.Anyone that thinks this isn't tied to Cam Smith and the ripples its gonna cause has their head in the sand.
It being reported most of the players in the meeting will be World Top 20 in the meeting. Which would actually make the case the PGA is doing what they always do. Letting the rich top 1% make the rules.
That will be the next phase For LIV to survive.I wonder if any of the current PGA sponsors will start jumping off the ship like so many of the players have. After all, if you lose viewers, they lose returns on their investments.
1000%. Well saidAnyone that thinks this isn't tied to Cam Smith and the ripples its gonna cause has their head in the sand.

I am sure they are taking a wait and see approach. If the tour continues to have its head up its own ass, I think some will.I wonder if any of the current PGA sponsors will start jumping off the ship like so many of the players have. It’s gonna take opening the fuckin books up. Just publicly reported is the 680 million per year new tv contract. And…A good starting point would be for the PGA Tour Chairman Monahan giving back some of his salary as an act of good faith.
I have heard that the PGA retirement package is ridiculous. Something like average golfers get millions per year in retirement. It was just hearsay but I’ll look for some concrete numbersIt’s gonna take opening the fuckin books up. Just publicly reported is the 680 million per year new tv contract. And…
$428.6 million in prize money in official events and Because of LIV ADDED another $145 million in bonuses , including $75 million for the FedEx Cup
So originally it was 680-428=252 million. Without any gates/tix, merch, anything else. WTF where all that money going?
Depends on your stature. The retirement is pretty good though for almost everyone who has been out there for a while. I can’t take that away from the tourI have heard that the PGA retirement package is ridiculous. Something like average golfers get millions per year in retirement. Interesting. I haven’t heard much about that. I will say until the last year, I really had almost no clue how the PGA was run or did their business. I’m actually disgusted, that an American business would act this way.I have heard that the PGA retirement package is ridiculous. Something like average golfers get millions per year in retirement. So happy that they are making the pga tour sweat.Cam Smith joins LIV is official
Cameron Smith, Joaquin Niemann join LIV Golf as PGA's rival tour lands biggest acquisitions to date
LIV Golf has harpooned its biggest whales yet in its quest to become a true world tourwww.cbssports.com
Don’t you think the PGA will have to relent and let players play on both tours? So happy that they are making the phone tour sweat.
I think the pga tours ego is so large they would never do that. No chance IMO. They have always been so arrogant over the years that they actually think their shit doesn’t stink. I think the R&A would consider it though. They can’t afford to lose more talent to other tours. The LIV is a real threat and it will only increase as the tour raises purses for....only the upper echelon players. Rory and Tiger can have all the players only meetings they want and can trash their peers for making a better living for themselves all they want....The LIV is not going anywhere.Don’t you think the PGA will have to relent and let players play on both tours?
Seems like too many players are leaving to keep them out.
Lmfaooooo have you SEEN the pussies in his peer group? Pussies being raised by pussies! He will DOMINATEI can't wait to see how good will be. I imagine the pressure will be enormous but i think it would be pretty awesome if he could win a few majors.
He was also a lot healthier and getting strange all over the place. It was a great run for Tiger! Now with his stance on he LIV, which has caused me to lose a bit of respect for him, I just hope he fades off into the distance. Play your ceremonial tournaments every year, but just shut up. I say this as Tiger is one of my all time sporting hero's. Just don't need someone who has 100's of millions in endorsement contracts telling his peers that they shouldn't try and make the most $$$ they can out of their careers. It is a dick move IMO. If he was not at the stature he is in the game, his ass would be taking advantage of (at least contemplating it) that Saudi money. Rory needs to pipe down as well.Maybe he should go back to steroids…..
We was a much better player back then!
Totally agree with all of this....He was also a lot healthier and getting strange all over the place. It was a great run for Tiger!
