I only play golf once a year. It’s a tournament in my hometown. Real small town. Basically just a chance for 100 guys to play best shot and get fucked up on the easiest course in the United States. I bought this shirt 2 or 3 years ago to wear for it each year.Living the good life

Daly is currently the leader at the pga championship. Well see if he can hold on.

The 55-year-old was diagnosed with bladder cancer in September 2020 and is continuing his progress as he competes again on the PGA Tour Champions. "The bladder cancer's benign right now," he said Wednesday ahead of the Hoag Classic.Doesn't he have terminal cancer? Would be an amazing story, however, unlikely.
Last week was an amazing story for him. Got the boot from the tournament for not signing his scorecard after I think the 3rd round . Prolly ran into some hooters chicks in the clubhouse while getting a drink before signing and said fuck it.Doesn't he have terminal cancer? Would be an amazing story, however, unlikely.
JT has been spending a lot of time with Tiger. That will pay off soon at Augusta National.
I'm in a pool where we pick 5 players for each major and once you have used a player, you can't use them again the remainder of the season.
I'm considering JT, Spieth(always around at Augusta and his strokes gained last weekend was eye popping. I think he gets the putter going this weekend), Patrick Reed, Jon Rahm, Louis O and Cam Smith.
I am flirting with the idea of putting Dylan Frittelli in my fivesome as a darkhorse.
We added The Players this year as a fifth major and I burned Scotty Scheffler already. I think he has a great shot this weekend.
I also like Sam Burns as a darkhorse.
Good callsMight as well make this the Major Tournament thread. This is my fivesome for the PGA this weekend:
Joaquin Niemann
Louis Oosthuzien
Rory McIlroy
Tiger Woods
Xander Schauffle
Good calls
I have no idea what you're talking about.Only hope is for Rory and/or Xander to go low. Only have to worry about JT, Fitz and Zalatoris on the leaderboard. The others weren't selected by any other participants. This suicide fantasy league is always tough to pick.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
"We know"

Nice! PGA has had and is acting like a monopoly. Anyone with any business acumen sees the truth here. They sure are scared of players having choices and options aren’t they.

I don't know much about DJ other than what I've seen about him on the course, but if he's as unintelligent as he's being made out to be, then this is probably true. Before this whole ordeal, I didn't know that the PGA had non-compete type of clauses with the players.

The PGA tour grants players the right to play in almost everything. Many players, every single week of the year, apply to play in events that are not sanctioned in some way by the PGA tour. I believe the tour is trying to take a stand against the Saudis. Which is pretty hypocritical because a ton of tour money comes from China that goes through the PGA tour coffers. I also believe that the tour and their commissioner (who I do not like) are legit concerned with the LIV tour getting some steam and are trying to squash it as quickly as they can. Some of the people I know around the tour seem to think that way as well. If this tour was not a threat, the tour people wouldn't even think twice about it.I don't know much about DJ other than what I've seen about him on the course, but if he's as unintelligent as he's being made out to be, then this is probably true. Yeah, it would be nearly impossible to turn down that sort of money. Granted, I don't know what is involved in his agreement, or how many years and events it requires him to play in. Either way though, the guaranteed money is huge (assuming it is, in fact, guaranteed). After seeing what our government has done to Donald Trump et al I know longer believe that we have the high road over Saudi Arabia. Its now my opinion that, yeah, Saudi Arabia is probably a shitty government, but our government cheats and steals also.
So, I'd take the money and run while pointing out the hypocrisy of our own government. All governments have some skeletons in their closet. Money talks and he is getting paid $125mm.
My cousin is a somebody in Georgia business. He goes to the Masters every year and to some of the dinners. This year on Tuesday they were waiting to go inside one of the tents. All the Augusta National members were giving the VIPs in line free beer. He was served his by Lynn Swann. My cousin is good friends with John Stallworth and said he would enjoy telling Stallworth that Swann served him a beer.If you've ever been there after play is over, it is interesting to watch the mowers. We saw them all come out & down the fairway, then all turn at the same time, in formation if you will. Such a cool place.
Also for those who haven't been...they charge almost nothing for concessions, like probably cheaper than your local high school football game, and shirts and hats & stuff are very reasonably priced. The people who own & run that place don't need your money with their own fortunes plus the almost endless well that is cbs.
Saw where Kevin Na has joined the LIV tour. The PGA tour grants players the right to play in almost everything. I say good for DJ on this. I also have not ever thrown Mickelson under the bus for what he was doing either. Phil was correct when he said, competition is good. He also said competition will help drive up purses on the PGA tour. (which would help those that are not in the top 20 in the world make more money) The purses on tour have been on a steady incline since that time.
Pretty sure he was already in. What you saw is that he resigned from the pga this year, so he can't play anymore this year in pga but this will likely help him avoid pga suspensions and other bullshit. These guys are gonna make bank. Good for them, fuck the pga.Saw where Kevin Na has joined the LIV tour.
Smart to do so. He can still compete on the PGA tour but that window is closing quickly. Joining a tour that will guarantee him money to just show up is a no brainer. I think you will see more and more players doing it if the money goes up. Which I am all for. Screw the PGA tour and their hurt ego over having some competition that they can't have control over. If the LIV tour was not a threat, I do not think you would see the PGA tour threatening its members for trying to participate. The law suits are going to be flying around soon from both sides. Kevin Na probably saw that and decided to just bail on the PGA tour so he doesn't get caught up in the courts.Saw where Kevin Na has joined the LIV tour.
All these leagues (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, PGA, etc.) are autocratic and have been for decades. They doubled and tripled down during Wuhan. Cost double vaxxed John Rahm the chance to win last year's Memorial and all he had were the stifles.Smart to do so. He can still compete on the PGA tour but that window is closing quickly.
