SignUp Now!He is at the end of his career now. He can start wearing quality products. Nike is awful IMO. I personally wear nothing but FJ's. I also have a deal with them of sorts so I pay little to nothing for their gear, so that helps but I would never wear Nike shoes for golfing. I value being able to walk without pain after wearing a pair of shoes.Kinda funny Tiger is playing in Footjoys for the first time in his career. Needed the stability that NIKE doesn’t have.
Canadian invasion of the par 3 contestCongrats to Mike Weir and Mackenzie Hughes, co -winners of the 2022 par 3 contest.
I'm going to have to try to make that trip at some point in the future. Would be a cool experience for sure. Not this year but I do have a few friends that are in Augusta for the week.
Do it! You will love every minute of it. I am lucky to have been there more than I probably deserve but I am not apologizing one second for that. : )I'm going to have to try to make that trip at some point in the future. Would be a cool experience for sure.
How does that process work? Is it open to as many people want to come? Or do they have a ticket lottery or something? I'd imagine costs of lodging and everything is insane for the masters week, and especially Thursday - Sunday.Do it! You will love every minute of it. One of the only perks of being a member of the PGA of America is you can get into the Masters with your PGA section card. With a guest. How does that process work? The KING of all golf tournaments is upon us. It is one of the greatest displays of athletic talent the planet has to offer. And the fact that Woods is playing makes it all the more an event to remember.Masters weekend, also known as the best weekend of the year, is approaching us. The big story of course is that Tiger Woods has announced that he will play this weekend. He says his swing is fine, but he may have trouble with walking long distances. Woods, of course, was in an infamous car accident a couple years ago and had metal rods and screws placed in his foot and claims to still be in the recovery process. Tiger has immaculate knowledge of the course in Augusta and this should help him stay competitive if, and only if, he is hitting the ball well. It will be interesting to see if he has the stamina to stay competitive for 4 rounds. The weather looks to be on the chilly side which won't do his leg any favors. 24 hours before his tee time the odds are hovering around 75-1 that woods can win the tournament.
Also of note is that Phil Mickleson is absent from this years Masters with many speculating he has been suspended by the PGA tour for disparaging comments directed their way by Phil. Phil flirted with an offer from a Saudi Arabia backed tour and launched some harsh criticism of the PGA tour and called them greedy with their media rights. Some players have said they have tried to contact Phil but he has gone dark. No update from him lately.
Coverage of the Par 3 contest starts at noon today on Masters.com.

I love the Masters like anyone else but IMO the king of all the tournaments is the British Open. The KING of all golf tournaments is upon us. It is one of the greatest displays of athletic talent the planet has to offer. And the fact that Woods is playing makes it all the more an event to remember.

That first tee your ball lands directly into a solid up-hill. Not going to get a ton of roll. How far was he behind the competition?Tiger's drive came in at 264 yards. Wow, pretty short. Curious if that's going to be the norm for him this round, or if he just mishit it.
Can't remember exactly, but Nieman landed his ball in the bunker, probably 20 yards up from Tiger. That first tee your ball lands directly into a solid up-hill. Not going to get a ton of roll. How far was he behind the competition?

Oosthuizen grabs his back and squats down after his 2nd shot on #2. Didn't look great for him.
Anything to this?
Holes out on #9 to take the lead. Great shot. What a shot by Niemann for eagle on 9. Knocked it in from just over 100 yards out!
