Is Flare still a thing? Anyone have an update on it? I pulled some XRP in my account a few months back so I would be in the Flare airdrop. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Why are you in favor of crypto? Is it just because it's the new hotness?
He’s not. He’s locked into hating crypto and closed to all new evidence, thus the challenges he throws against it aren’t even real things or issues, just regurgitated opinion pieces from Twitter

If you’ll notice, in the master crypto thread what he’ll do is abandon any point he makes and go “if you’re this triggered I must be on to something” and “trumps opinion is good enough for me” which is equally retarded. A very predictable mind

I still hope so, but he’s been in substantive debates with a lot of different people so I don’t think that’s the case. He actually has some sort of weird hatred for it

Like I said he’s closed to all new info so when cornered he applies the same stock couple arguments so the whole exercise became boring.

His points as I understand them:
-Crypto will weaken the currency of the People, the US dollar
-anything “on the net” can be hacked, design considerations be damned
-Crypto people ignore obvious issues(to him) solely due to greed

@America 1st could you elaborate a bit more on these points?

Timeframes are kind of a big fucking deal. If my aunt had a penis she'd be my uncle.
You're trying to say that something is volatile without actually giving any sort of time frame for that volatility. In the long run bitcoin has been pretty fucking consistent, but short term it's been volatile. There are other cryptos that have seen steady growth over a long period of time but in the short term they've been volatile.

Bitcoin is very volatile. There is no denying it.

it can be measured, there is an options market on it which are just bets on how volatile it is.

Can you refute that fraud occurs on a daily basis with the United States dollar?
Why would I need to?

Simple fraud doesn't describe when terrorists are attacking our country's infrastructure and risking millions of people's lives, economic prosperity, security, and livelihoods while demanding a ransom in a product designed to be outside of law enforcement's control.

Is yore argument really gonna be that since people drive without a seatbelt that we should be ok with bombers as a result?

Is the US dollar specifically designed to allow unregulated transactions outside of the control of sovereign nations and their citizens?

I like you @ChicagoFats so don't take the above too seriously but I think it's pretty obvious that if people were being real honest with themselves about the desirable properties of "cryptos" then calling them a "Scam" like Trump does is being pretty generous still.

Most scams are snuffed out before they reach 35,000 or 70,000.

I used to think like you, but at some point you lost. I said at $40 it was a scam. I said it at $1000. Same thing at $2500.

but when it got to $4,000 I admitted I was wrong, and have been on the winning side ever since.

It’s not a scam. Scams don’t have legitimate purposes. Cryptos have many legitimate purposes.

I loved Bitcoin originally….the idea of currency removed bed from Gov (globalists) is a dream. But then the gigs/intelligence communities invaded….and well, here we are.

No currency can survive being this volatile, so it has now turned into a commodity for investment/trade.

Bitcoin = peace
Gold = war

I love how Nicaragua and other s American countries about to have true independence from IMF and US who just enter in a computer a number, transfer this to these countries and then in debt them. Ask Brazil about this process and then having to cut down their rain forest to repay a made up number.

It’s interesting.

I just don’t see why they can’t both exist. I dont think crypto will take over the financial system, i think it will be complimentary to it. Your basic, easy transactions may be done on the block chain. This will allow humans to focus on more complex transactions.

if the us creates a digital dollar, it’s still backed by the fed. There will always be a use for that. There will also be a use for cryptography. And more than likely crypto-currencies are here to stay too.

That's my point. They'll definitely both exist!

They want people making transactions on the digit dollar so they can track it.

On top of that they can print endless digital currency AND dollars just like always.

I don't think you'll ultimately see Bitcoin (and a few others) become illegal but they'll likely make it so folks can only cash and trade in their other those coins for the new digital currency if I had to guess.

Yeah….I’m more than familiar. This was just reactionary to the ever changing landscape though. Change or be left behind. This article is actually weaponised disinformation….(I am more knowledgeable of the national/international banking industry.)….. Bitcoin was designed with the idea of not having a gov currency. IT ISNT SUPPOSED TO BE A COMMODITY. As a functioning currency….it would have to be stable or else no one would buy in. If it becomes a threat to our dollar….they are going to come at it full force….well about this time you get those Dear Fuckbook twin buying 100 million in Bitcoin and a 600 mill overnight purchase that was never know who that was….this began a road to a single Bitcoin being worth 60,000+ (at a time) AND WERE BACK TO FUCKIN SQUARE 1 TO GET OUT IF THIS MESS.

Now I have very close family both retired from national VP level and presently in international bank consulting working with Goldman.

I 100% believe the Rothschild family owns banking. I see this as a way to destroy them BUT there is literally 0 chance in hell if it’s volatile.

Sorry to rant BUT we were all together for dads funeral and had this discussion BC I was always for Bitcoin and my brother is/was true banking and the exact same opposite. Dad and I always saw eye to eye on this. So to my surprise my brother is discussing learning about crypto as their next contract may be creating a cryto for an international bank.

Yeah I was sharing so folks understand the narrative they're trying to spin.

I think it's pretty obvious they've allowed the rise of Bitcoin because they want it around to condition folks to digital currencies and to track folks against the central banking system.

Like you said if it was REALLY a threat they would have squashed it long before now.

We're never going to get an end around on the central bank with some sorta other currency or asset. The only way to beat the central banks and especially The Fed is to go at it head on and remove the whole thing. Half measures and end arounds just aren't good enough.

I’m now of the believe it too came out of DARPA. The original Santoshi story never made sense…..

All the big tech did….
