Refinished some wood floors this week.
I just carried 16 bundles up 2 big flights of stairs Thursday. Actually my wife helped me as I'm recovering from shoulder surgery.

I went cheap as it's a rental: 2 1/2", #2, tongue & groove oak flooring. Some knots, but I'm fine with that.

How many coats are you applying? Water or oil?

I had real wood. Two days carefully sanding w a machine that was a spewing beast. Then an oil based chemical for the glossy finish. I cannot remember the name but it was a Poly something or another. Not sure difference bw oil or water based. I used what my guy said to use. Took me 4 days work. Moved back in on the 5th day

You always want to give curing time before putting shit back on it. Polyurethane.... water based dries much faster.

Portugal Grand Prix is fucking fire right now. Great way to start a Sunday. Sunday’s at this time might be the only time I ever tune in to ESPN.
