Haven't tried it myself
Yea which is a feather in the cap imoSurprise, surprise. The MSM is calling it a total scam.
I had three donuts for breakfast. I’ll make up for you not eating carbsI'm gonna get back on keto for a couple months and see where is goes. I've always been able to drop some weight while on it, so its a start
I’m on 1.5 days with basically zero carbs. I’m holding up surprisingly well so farI had three donuts for breakfast. I’ll make up for you not eating carbs
Hey if it works for you than more power to you. I've tried it before and had some success but didn't enjoy it. I've found I can cut weight by just cutting some calories here and there, and making sure protein stays high.I’m on 1.5 days with basically zero carbs. I’m holding up surprisingly well so far
I’ve done keto a couple times with short term success, and I’m just trying to shed some weight so my clothes fit better for now lol. Not buying a new wardrobe. When I put all the weight I lose now back on in October I will reassess but at least it buys me a few months lol
I will say that there are much more keto friendly products available at the grocery store now.
Lost 10 lbs in past 2 weeks.
I kicked it up a notch.
I am doing 23 hour fast each day. One meal per day.
That meal is: salad with a lot of chicken, cheese, hearts of romaine, a lot of olive oil, Galic and Basil Vinegrette. I make sure that salad has a lot of fat. I also drink one coffee with heavy cream and olive oil at lunch.
Outside of lunch, I only drink diet drinks, black coffee, and water. I will have a dill pickle which is 0 calories and carbs if I feel like I am dying.
My son started working out with me a month ago so my discipline has been killer. We do the following training cycle:
Day 1 - Chest and Shoulders
Day 2 - Core (This day sucks.)
Day 3 - Back and Biceps
Day 4 - Legs
Day 5 - Cardio for 1 hour
Repeat.
We do this 7 days a week. No days off. You get tired or too sore. Guess what? Take a cardio only day. Results in the mirror have been better than the scale.
I am considering adding apple cider vinegar. Has anyone had good success with it?
If so, what benefits did you notice?
Good on you man but that sounds miserable. I’m at 1800 calories a day, good mix of carbs and fat with at least 170g of protein, as much as 190. Down from 223 to 167, lift weights 5-6 days a week.
I like apple cider vinegar for the taste but can’t speak for the benefits I’ve noticed.
ACV has great benefits. Just dilute. For awhile I would put that and cinnamon in some water. Not great for the stomach though.Good on you man but that sounds miserable. The high fat and oils really makes me not hungry. I am also doing the intermittent fasting for some of the health benefits. I am buying into that theory. I hope it is right.
My body just does not do well on carbs.........at all.
I’m with you Keto bro. I’m on about day 10 and the scale is down about 10 lbs (water weight mostly)I have been on a streak of 20 days of no cheating on keto. I am losing like 1.5 lbs a day.
I added cocunut oil for my coffee and trying to get in as much fat as I can.
My strength in the gym has not dropped yet.
I read that if you can get to 4:1 (fat calories versus protein and carbs) that it really helps you mentally.
I am going to try to get to that but it is hard.
I rely on bulletproof coffee with cocunut oil and peperoni and olive oil on my salad for the fat.
Just got to keep discipline and keep grinding out at bats.
I often do one meal a day on the weekends, but sometimes it's accidental (e.g. working outside all day, forget to eat). If I was doing OMAD intentionally, red meat would be the primary choice. A steak or ground beef with green veggies. A lot of good fat, protein, and vitamins and minerals. Not to mention how filling and satisfying that choice is after fasting all day.Lost 10 lbs in past 2 weeks.

But I did move in a belt loop this morning woot woot!
The wife decided to join up too a few days back so it is helping a ton.
Way more keto options than there used to be which makes it so much easier. I ate buffalo wings and celery until I was sick yesterday and still dropped a couple pounds.
I was working on shit all weekend so I didn’t get a chance to work the last few days but my plan is to go hard the next 7 days before I travel for a few days
I’ll be in New Mexico so I’m gonna have some good options. Fajitas without tortillas, carnitas, steaks… yumRemember when you are traveling, if there are not healthy options there is no law that says you have to eat. You can fast until a healthy option is available and it will not kill you.
Wendy's has a avacodo salad that is not bad if you throw away the tortillo strips.
Awesome. One of my goals is to do a 2 day fast later this year.I did almost a 2 day fast last week, and think I came back in a little too heavy on the leftover brisket when I got off the fast. Stomach was a little jacked up for the next day. I feel like I easily could have gone longer too, but just a lesson for next time. Ease off of the longer fasts a little gentler than the shorter ones.
I feel like it does, and since I knew I wasn't going to be eating, it took my focus off of food. There was no thinking about my next meal, or what I wanted to snack on. Just thinking about whatever is currently in front of me.Awesome. One of my goals is to do a 2 day fast later this year.
Did it make you mentally sharper while fasting like some people say?
Awesome, I heard it was how we evolved. Our hunter/gatherer ancestors had to focus hard when they went without food for a few days. It is time to focus when you are on a slump for catching food and trying to feed a family.I feel like it does, and since I knew I wasn't going to be eating, it took my focus off of food. I'm planning on doing a 36 hour fast once a week, and may periodically stretch that even further.
Definitely. Plus, there's a lot of research about how when your body is constantly trying to process all of the food you've put in it, it's not able to heal your body, including things like inflammation. It makes sense, but then it's a little weird thinking about how we've been sold on the concept of 3 square meals per day. Then after that, eating multiple small meals per day instead of 3 larger meals. So if you constantly have food in your stomach that your body is working on digesting, there's not much opportunity to regenerate itself the way that it was created to do.Awesome, I heard it was how we evolved. Yep, I have heard doctors say that especially your kidneys and liver need some rest sometimes.Definitely. Supposedly, extended fasts have a massive impact on cancer as well, and in many cases, can kill it entirely. Similar thing for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and many other common health issues. Not to mention obesity.Yep, I have heard doctors say that especially your kidneys and liver need some rest sometimes.
Kidneys from filtering out the stuff in food. They always need water.

I would love to see what would happen if our country as a whole took this approach
I agree. But if some large universities or other research groups actually did some large scale tests on this, and then the media was honest enough to publish the results, I bet at least a good chunk of people would do it. We've been programmed to think we'll starve if we don't eat every 2-4 hours, when in reality, that may be the exact thing that is causing us the most harm.Per my last trip to Walmart, it will be hard to get most to do it.
I don't think so. We get BraggI got the apple cider vinegar. I just put a small splash in my water.
I just bougt the cheap kind. You don't have to get a special kind like having to get extra virgin olive oil, right?
Never heard of it. I've worked out very hard at different times in my life, including HS and college athletics, triathalons, running, lifting, etc, and have never heard of anyone getting this.Question: Has anyone ever come close to rhabdomyolysis?
I hear that is a danger with the Cross Fitters. I am not a Cross Fitter.
If you are just doing your standard 1 hour lifting weights it should not be a danger, right?
