• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I eat 2 eggs every morning and am now down 24 pounds this year. Eggs aren't bad for you.

I have at least 4 eggs everyday. The bioavailablity of the protein is one of the highest of any food. Knowing what we know now, this is why the government paints eggs as unhealthy.

Pretty much anything the FDA has recommended to us over the course of our lives has been a lie. Remember the food pyramid and how you needed 5 servings of carbs per day? Lol. Good times.

When the pyramid was created 5 servings of carbs was needed. But, we were a more rural environment where people needed the carbs for work. Now, sitting on your ass in front of a TV playing video games or playing on your cell phone, all the carbs are not needed.

Have they adjusted the BMI index? Seems like it was made when people had flat bellies and not rotund fatties.

White carbs from bread and cereal aren't needed. It's literally a made up food group we were told to have 5 servings of daily.
