Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Just because I’m catching up from being at work all yesterday and I’m seeing a bunch of posts with Sarah Adams tweets…
I was working EMS at the Pro Bowl yesterday and during a break overheard one of our HazMat/Bomb tech guys talking about the Sarah Adams most recent podcast appearance on the Sean Ryan Show. I said to him that I listened to that most recent pod and really appreciated her depth of knowledge on all of the players in the Middle East and what they are doing. I said something about her stating that there are currently around 1000 ( I personally think it’s a much higher number) people here in the US right now just waiting for the signal to act. He looked and me and gently nodded and said it’s true.
Apparently this HazMat/Bomb tech guy (I know him but we work at different stations so I don’t talk with him too much) gets numerous requests to teach around the country, and speaks with people who would be able to confirm what Sarah Adams is saying. Scary shit to say the least.
Now I have 5 pages to catch up on.
