Who Was on the plane that they wanted killed?
Part of the industry is in a recession but there are still startups hiring like crazy. Fundraising is below peak but there is still money out there for ideas. I’ve been in leadership and funding of 6 tech startups, and never have I paid less than the prevailing wage for H1B’s. It’s illegal and your H1B applications just won’t get approved. Offshored engineers cost 1/3 to 1/2 of US based engineers. Quality is worse and causes the need for additional iteration and rewrites by smart US engineers.Loomer is correct, my experience with H1bs reflects what she is saying. In addition, Look at Canada which is basically turned intobecause of these open policies.
The tech industry is in a recession now. Startups and major corporations have accelerated outsourcing since the dot com bust.
The bottom line is that our schools decreased in the amount of good engineers and product people coming out relative to need. I would much rather have the intelligent H1B’s here than the dregs of the earth brought in by Biden.

I saw where the US economy is 50% government spending and healthcare spending. You can't have a real economy where half your gdp isn't even benefitting the overall economy.
I saw where Britains avg income is lower than Mississippi now. Miss is the lowest income state in the US. They have completely killed that nation.
