I went to HEB yesterday and I was the only person in there without a mask on. Nobody said shit and I checked out no problem. Went to the liquor store next door (twin liquors) grabbed a bottle of scotch put it on the counter and the fat guy that works there asked me to put on my mask. Told him I don’t have one. He said you need a mask I said I don’t have one. He goes well I can’t sell to you. I said ok I’ll take
My business elsewhere. On the way out I told him big dick abbot put an end to the mask bullshit and he said it was company policy. I went to specs up the road got my scotch nonissue.

HEB has been great - the entire time have never worn a mask there said hi to managers and they've never said a thing.

Cannot say the same for Kroger.

You do realize rates and bond prices have an inverse-proportional relationship..

Bond rates are supposed to rise considerably over the next 2 -4 years. We've already seen rates go up recently to solidify that.

Market is way down and wife and I are in an asset protect strategy. Growth (beyond 3%) is not a consideration we worry about.

Edit to add: As long as we don't lose half like people did in 08 I'll be happy. I believe the 'correction' will be quite large and last quit a while.

I'm in account where they reorganize my holdings on them every 6 months so I'm always holding for the highest return.

All muni and corps.

Getting 3.75 this year and expecting to go north of 4 by next. Probably well north of 4 if they keep raising the rates.

Edit: they expect inflation to remain under the benchmark of 2% anyways
