This take is dumb as fuck. UGA earned the orange bowl by losing to Bama. So, zero chance to win the MNC, even if they were one of the top 4. FSU won every game and then was snubbed over their chance, by Pete Burns’ employer in collusion with the CFBP to get an undeserving SEC team in.
If we’d have lost to UL, we would have owned that. Even Norvell said so. These guys built a team, with many staying an additional year, with the intent of playing in the playoffs. Of course those kids were devastated.
For this guy Pete to even post this as an actual argument is ridiculous and shows his utter lack of understanding of what happened. And also just simping propaganda for his employer. But, muh, ESPN, SEC.
FSU was not a top 4 team at any point in the season. Probably not a top 10 team at and of season. An average SC team beat the brakes off Louisville with their 2nd string QB and plenty of opt outs. We all understand FSU was undefeated. Simply does not change no one other than FSU fan wanted to see you guys in the playoff
