• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

To me, BHO's lasting legacy will be how he radically transformed government agencies into political strong arms of the left. I'm sure it was going on prior to him, but he definitely left his mark and intentionally sabotaged 45.
That is the true Chicago way. He put his people in important places and it trickles down that you don't rock the boat or you swim on your own.

Finally home. 😊

That was a bit more of a pain in the ass drive home than it usually is.

Managed to remember to bring back donuts for the kids (not kidding when I say Texas donuts are better and delicious. There's a reason, but I'm too tired to explain. I'll do it later. Kinda a cool thing) and kolaches for my husband.

Max is generously forgiving me for not stopping to bring him bojangles.

Now to snuggle Stella and drink some wine.

TGSIO or Auburn Gal, was this you??
Yes... and I'm positive I rocked all the dos depending on the day.

My youngest girl had an 80s spirit day for school a few years ago. Proud (ashamed?) to say I haven't lost my skill of singeing bangs and getting that hair huge and as close to God as possible. (Ahhh, that hair spray crackle on a curling iron)

The bigger the hair, the closer to God. 🤣

It's hard to beat Bill's Donuts.

Spoken like a true Texan.

Quick reply while I'm getting gas in nowhere KY...

Pump, heater, filter, pipes all shot.

No cracks in the pool itself.

Pulling the plugs would have made no difference. And good luck getting parts anytime soon. Everybody is cleaned out.

My cousin is using Hayden and I guess they spent millions stockpiling parts earlier in the year. She said her pool guy told her all of it is about gone.
There is pool super store in Louisville but I can't remember the name. If you just can't find stuff in a week or so google that area. I think it might be watsons but it's been years since I had a pool. But that place had an insane showroom with lots stuff in stock. It's been long enough that I can't even say if its still a huge store.

Told my parents if they can't find a pump (the most important part) to let me know and I'll start hitting up pool places up here in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

And yes, you're thinking of Watson's. We have one in Dayton and Cincy, but they're not as big.

BREEDER BULLS

My wife and I went to the Royal Agricultural Show and one of the exhibits we stopped at was the breeder bulls. We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said.....

' THIS BULL MATED 50 TIMES LAST YEAR '

My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs .... smiled and said, 'He mated 50 times last year, that's almost once a week.'

We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said,

''THIS BULL MATED 150 TIMES LAST YEAR'

My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, 'WOW ~~ that's almost 3 times a week! .........You could learn a lot from him.'

We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters,

'THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR'

My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said, 'That's once a day .. you could REALLY learn something from this one!'

I looked at her and said,

'Go ask him if it was with the same cow.

Sorry about the random redirects, but I can't get rid of them.

My condition has been upgraded to stable and I pray that eventually I'll make a full recovery.

turrible, and turrible that the media doesn't call out this political gamesmanship that happened everywhere, to hurt Trump before the election. Playing politican games with American lives.
Disgusting that this was weaponized by the CCP and then by our government and media for political reasons. Now the militant blue states are in line to get their kickbacks for delivering the election. Our current government is evil.
