Soooo, working in the neighborhood I have worked in for nearly the past year, I can say strictly from observations that the demographic mentioned in the cnn article did not take social distancing seriously at all in the early months of the pandemic and there was almost NOBODY wearing any type of face covering at all. We saw this every damn day. It got so bad that the commissioner had to plead with the community to start taking the warning seriously. Perhaps these factors could have played a role in the claims made by cnn.

As a 19 year old stoner, I represented a friend. Another friend, that guy and I got a Marijuana possession charge together. This guy had some other problems and didn't have the means to get a lawyer and had issues with previous public defenders. So I said, "Fuck it, I'll represent you against these morons!" So agree with you regarding people who call themselves engineers but aren’t degreed. My cousin is one of them. I don’t know where he went to school but he doesn’t have a bachelor’s degree but tosses around his “engineer” title all the time. Maybe he has an engineering technology degree? Idk. Drives me crazy. My husband is an actual engineer, chemical. My dad was an electrical engineer. I understand the hard work and complexity of receiving one of those degrees. Doesn’t help that my cousin is an arrogant liberal asshole as well though.

We do a lot of upfit work and I ran into a guy like this in the South Park area of Charlotte. He tells us he is an engineer at least 15 times, has a plaque in his "office" and says he's been the engineer at this building since it was built. Then proceeded to be unable to tell us where any water and gas shut offs were located.. He was, at best, a glorified janitor.
